This Road is an improtanat MDR in Chittoor District. The Road connects

one side NH-205 Road & other side Rompicherla border and also connecting no.

of villages. At present it km 0/4 falls in Chinnagotigallu Mandal Head Quarter.

During rainy season the rain water completely stagnated on the riding surface

and residential sewage water is also flow on the BT surface. Hence the riding

surface is badly damaged and number of pot holes are formed on the riding

surface, which causes much inconvenience to the vehicular traffic and public.

Also Smt Galla Arunakumari Garu Hon’ble Minister for Mines and Geology

Department, hers instructed to takeup repairs. Hence the necessity of estimate.

Under circumstance explained above, I request the Engineer-in-Chief,

(R&B) Roads, Hyderabad to kindly accord approval for the above work and

communicate orders at an early date.

I submit that the Tada – Satyavedu road is an important MDR and Corenet road in

Chittoor District. This road connects Tada – Srikalahasti road at one end and Puttur –

Satyavdedu road at another end. These two roads are State highways and are two lane

roads. The traffic from Puttur – Satyavedu road move to Tada – Srikalahasti road (via)

Tada - Satyavedu road. Hence as the Tada – Satyavedu road connecting so many

villages with heavy population, the road is always busy and due to insufficient carriage

way width frequently accidents are being occured and causing lose of life. Also APSSEZ

is located in KM 22/0 of Tada – Satyavedu road. Hence the vehicles of APSSEZ is also

using this road. The farmers in this area transports their agriculatural out puts to

market yards at Chennai, Satyavedu, Srikalahasti and Tirupati. This is one of the

important road which leads to Chennai. Hence it is very essential to improve this road

to double lane so as to avoid accidents. This road is also preferred to use by the

pilgrims of Srikalahasti, Tirupati, Tiruvalluru, Kanchi and Tiruthani.

M.D.R.Road in Chittoor District, which Connects NH-18 at one end and another end

NH-18 A Nendragunta. The reach 0/0 to 2/0 of the road passing through the

Damalacheruvu town, which is a well growing town and the road leads to the major

pilgrim centre famous Tirumala Temple. The Karnataka State and Tamilnadu state

Piligram are pass through this road to Tirumala Temple. The road is renewal in the

year 2002-03.

Hence, I request the Chief Engineer, (R&B) Rural Roads, Hyderabad to kindly accord

I submit that Chittoor town is District Head Quarters and it is very near to

Tamilnadu and Karnataka State Capitals i.e., Chennai and Bangalore. The entire

traffic from Bangalore and Southwest Tamilnadu have to pass through the

Chittoor town to reach famous Pilgrimage centers of Kanipakam, Tirupati and

Srikalahasti etc. With a view to eliminate traffic congestion in Chittoor town, the

Chittoor Byepass road connecting NH-18 (Chittoor-Kurnool road) and NH-4

(Chennai-Bangalore road) was constructed under “Built Operate and Transfer

(BOT)” scheme. The total length of the Byepass road is 10.351 Kms. This Byepass

road was taken over to the control of (R&B) Department, from the Entrepreneur

on 04.08.2008 mid night after expiry of lease period and this road was classified

as Major District Road.

The B.T. riding surface was badly damaged due to heavy traffic with Heavy

multi axial vehicles of 40 to 50 tonnage load are passing on the byepass road

and also due to continuous rains from july 2010 to November 2010 and very

much diffiuculty is being experienced by the road users.

The Honourable Minister for Mines & Geology has also instructed to take

up repairs immediately. Accordingly, the estimates for the following works were

submitted to the Engineer-in-Chief (R&B) Roads, Hyderabad by the

Superintending Engineer (R&B) Circle, Chittoor vide Lr.No.Byepass/DB/TO /2010-

11, Dt:25.10.2010 for approval. But this proposals is not yet sanctioned.

Further it is stated that the proposals was submitted to the Engineer-in-Chief

(R&B) Roads, Hyderabad vide this office Lr.No.Byepass/DB/TO/2010-11,

Dt:20.10.2010, for obtaining orders of Government for upgradation of this Major

District Road as State Highway in view of heavy traffic and connectivity to NH-18

and NH-4. In this connection, I submit that in the minutes of meeting of District

Level Road Safety Committee meeiting held on 07.03.2011 (copy enclosed) the

District Collector and Charman of District Level Road Safety Committee, Chittoor

was commented about bad condition of road and instructed to prepare estimates to

carry out repairs. Further the Chief Ministers Office’s note Dt: 22.06.2011 (copy

enclosed) addressed to the Principal secretary (R&B) Gornment of Andhra Pradesh

also directed that

1. Upgrade the Chittoor byepass road as a State Highways

2. Take up comprehensive repairs to the road immediately.

Hence I herewith submit an estimate for the work of “Special Repairs from km

0/0 to 10/4 of Chittoor Byepass road connecting Chittoor – Kadapa – Kurnool road

(NH-18) and Chennai – Chittoor – Bangalore road (NH-4) in Chittoor District”

amounting to Rs.797.00 Lakhs for favour of approval under Special Repairs

Programme 2011-12.

Under the above circumstances I request the Engineer-in-Chief (R&B) State

Roads, Hyderabad to kindly accordd approval for the above work under Special

Repairs Programme 2011-12 and communicate orders.

The Puthalapet – Naidupet road is an important State highway in Anhdra

Pradesh connecting Chittoor District and Nellore District. The road passes through

the mighty pilligrim centres Tirupati, Srikalahasti number of MDRs ODRs and State

highway Yerpedu Chennur road branches from ther road. Also, the road passes

though number of industrial are as agricultural potential villages and connects

marketing centers. Thus the traffic on this road is verymuch high, with heavy

tonnage. Because of the cyclonic rains during the years 2008, 2009 and recent rains

in the months of July and August 2010, the road is damaged very badly. The road is

laid long back and is ripped for renewals. The riding surface is hungry for bitumen

and is getting prone to wide cracks.

Some of the stretches of the road from Km 80/0 to 92/6 is damaged with lot of

sunken portions and with number of pot holes. Also, the road in the stretches from

Km 80/0-2, 80/6 to 81/100, 81/600 to 82/4, 83/0-2. 84/0-2, 84/6-10, 85/0-4, 86/5 to

87/2, 90/2-4, 90/6-8 & 91/5 to 92/600 is badly damaged with lot of wide cracks that

cannot be rectified with patches. If these cracks are not rectified or attended, these

stretches may further be proned to heavy damage.
