Roadmap monthly newsletter
Editorial
am always very glad to hear that a new customer
chose Frotcom. But as important as to get a new
customer is to keep that new customer happy.
Frotcom has an excellent track record in keeping customers happy. Not only
because we have a good product, but also because Frotcom Certified Partners
are used to providing a high level of service. Unsurprisingly, Frotcom customers
usually don’t let go of Frotcom. And that, more than getting new customers, is
the proof we need that we’re doing the right thing.
Gary Vaynerchuck talks of a new “Thank you economy”, in which customers
demand authenticity, originality, creativity, honesty and good intent from
providers. This can only be achieved with a high level of customer service. With
real care for customers. Without misleading marketing.
Gary contends that although these were
concepts already in the minds of
businesspeople generations ago, the Internet
has magnified that word-of-mouth effect to
an unprecedented scale. Today, if your
customers talk about your product, the
word-of-mouth effect propagates much,
much quicker. You better wish they have
good things to say…
We walk the extra mile every day to make customers happy. As a result, not only
we are being able to keep happy customers. New customers are coming to us
because they talked to other customers who recommended Frotcom.
In any case, if you are a Frotcom customer and are not happy with any aspect of
the product or the service, please let us know at once. We will try our utmost to
correct whatever is not working for you. Thanks.
Valério Marques CEO - Frotcom International

New Features
Driver details have
been improved
The Administration > Drivers
> Details section allows you
to add-in information about
drivers. The fields to be
completed have now
expanded to details such as : Mobile phone; Employment date; Status;
Experience/Notes; Driving license number/classes; Expiry date; ID/passport
number; Full name; Date of birth; Address, post code and country; Emergency
contact name/phone number. Additionally, a photo of the driver can be
uploaded for easier identification. This photo will also show on maps, when the
mouse is over a vehicle.
Updated Tracking tickets
Tracking tickets have been
updated to offer users the
possibility to choose whether
they will allow customers to see
only the last position of a vehicle
and not the previous positions
(see image). To specify which type of permission to give through tracking tickets,
go to Administration > Company profile and under the CRM folder make the
appropriate choice.
Changes to Alarms report
The Alarms report control panel now includes an
option to select specific alarms to report.
The list of alarms on the left side can be used to
specify which alarms to show on the report. By
default, all alarms are included.
Additionally, the report now includes a column
with the name of the alarm, its circumstances and
location where it happened.
Did you know?
Special navigators for
trucks? A good idea, but…
The Integrated Navigation module
provides Frotcom with an interface
for Garmin navigators. Some Garmin
models are specific for trucks. The
difference? They allow you to enter
parameters about the truck’s
constraints, such as height, weight
and distance between axes.
In addition, the maps in these Garmin
models include information about the
restrictions on roads, bridges, etc,
which can represent obstacles to
trucks. For instance, the maximum
weight of a vehicle on a bridge.
By comparing the restrictions on the
route with the characteristics of the
truck, not only warnings can be
issued to the driver but also
alternative routes may be calculated.
Unfortunately, truck specific
information such as the one
described above is still not available
for all regions.
For example, with the Garmin dezl
560LT, in Britain, the specific mapping
coverage for trucks is 80%, in Spain 60%
and in Romania 30%.
Wherever there is no specific mapping
for trucks, the Garmin deactivates the
parameters and generates a route
regardless of the size, height or weight
of the truck.
Navteq guarantees the mapping is
being updated constantly until it
reaches 100% coverage for trucks.

A special event asks for a special cake
Most occasions bring a need for exquisite food
and even more exquisite desserts. When it
comes to birthdays they all demand a great
cake, but there are some birthdays that have a

exceptionally special birthday cake. It is the
case of the CEO of Frotcom Macedonia,
Dragan Kostovski, who has recently celebrated
his birthday.
His surprise came personalized as a branded Frotcom cake, cooked by his wife,
Ana. What can be more rewarding than having your family and friends sharing
the Frotcom spirit while enjoying such a cake?!
ROADMAP conveys best wishes to Dragan Kostovski on his birthday and
kindly congratulates his wife, Ana, for her initiative and cooking skills.
Next, on Roadmap
