Defining RN to BSN

A Registered Nurse (RN) is a nurse who has passed the State Board Examination.

A BSN is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree obtained at a four year college or university.

RNs with BSNs typically receive a higher income than RNs without BSNs. Most upper management nursing positions require RNs to have BSNs to even be considered for these positions. Many hospitals now require RNs to have BSNs, and send existing RNs employees back to school to earn their BSNs.

RN to BSN degree programs are for working professional registered nurses who want to expand their career options and incomes by earning a BSN. Learn More Now
