For those se lec ted , auniform fitting is slated forWednesday, April 20. UCACheer Camp will be June 26through through June 30.
RLHS golf teamsplaying strong
On March 8, the RobertLee “Black” team played atEden and finished in fourthplace in the 11 team field.The Steers shot a team scoreof 400.
Individual scores: DawsonBrisbin 93; Will Howard100; Zack Skinner 96; BaileySmith 111; and MichaelCurry 138.
On March 11 and 23, theRobert Lee “Orange” teamcompeted at the San AngeloClassic and finished 2nd in afield of 11 teams in the 3-Aand 4-A Div i s ion . TheTournament was played atthe San Angelo CountryClub, in high winds, onF r i d a y a n d m o v e d t oRiverside Golf Course onSaturday.
Logan Phi l ley led theSteers with 78-66-144 total,taking medalists honors by 5shots. His 6-under 66 was atournament course record.Tournament play and recordsbegan in 1970. The Steersteam score of 344-298-642total was only bested by
Andrews’ 634. Big Springw a s 3 r d a t 6 4 5 , a n dPlainview placed 4th with651.
Hayden Dillard’s 82-77-159 finished tied for 5th andFoster Allen’s 87-75 finishedtied for 10th amongst themedalists. Josh Tennison 97-80-177 and Justin Gartman’s101-85-186 rounded out theSteers scoring.
Both the Steers “Orange”team and the Lady Steerswill be back on the courseMarch 21 a t the BairdInvitational to be played atthe Shady Oaks Golf Course.
CVEC ScholarshipNow $2,000
Concho Valley ElectricCooperat ive is proud toannounce that the CVECscholarship has been raisedfrom $1,000 to $2,000. Fourwinners will be chosen andfunds w i l l be d iv idedbetween the Fall 2011 andthe Spring 2012 semesters.Two scholarships will beawarded to h igh schoolseniors and two wil l beawarded to returning collegestudents.
The applicant must be anactive CVEC member whoseprimary residence is servedb y C V E C o r b e t h edependen t o f a CVEC
m e m b e r w h o s e p r i m a r yresidence is served by CVEC.
The applicant will be chosenbased on the following criteria:grades, leadership, community,school activities and essay.

The recipient may attend arecognized Texas institution ofhigher education, includingcertified trade schools, whilepursuing a degree at any level.
