Rld1 is a dominant trait, it causes the plants leaves to never fully unroll.

The genetic mutation is on chromosome 9.

It is not a lethal mutation.

Now that our corn grew up Mr. Bass demonstrated to the class how to cross corn so that we could make more mutant seeds.

We didn’t expect our corn to have silks and tassels because we grew them in the middle of winter, but they did!
