The Riviera Nugg is a short agile board, easy for anyone to handle or transport. At 31” wide the Nugg is stable and easy to ride. With a perfect amount of rocker, a vee bottom out it’s pulled in round tail make this board outstanding in the surf. The NUGG comes with a Tri fin set-up (2 + 1) to adjust from paddling to surfing conditions. Riviera traction is pre-installed.

The RP Series Raceboards are the product of years of SUP Raceboard Design and Testing. Believe us when we say “We have tried almost everything”. The ideal blend of Sprint Speed and Glide/Efficiency is what we have been working to achieve, and we are confident that the 2014 RP Series Raceboards do it best…Granted the 2015 RP’s will do it even better, and so on.

To achieve this blend we have developed a rocker that picks up on any trace of bump, and cuts through the water efficiently. The outline spreads water steadily, with efficiency and stability in mind. The mild cockpit area gets your feet closer to the water, for stability, and extra torque in your stroke. Finally, the pronounced spine on the deck Channels water

off quickly for a dry, light feel when powering into the chop.

Construction Note:Performance vs. Durability – It’s a balancing act, and we are weighing in a bit heavier on the performance side of the scale

We approached the design of this board from a whole new perspective, first being a platform for yoga, then as a paddleboard. Through this design approach we have made a board that is stable enough for practicing yoga poses and is still a fun board to paddle. The ‘Rising Sun’ was designed for the high performance SUP surfer by shaper Timmy Patterson with feedback from SUP Surfer Tommy Lloy. These boards have a shortboard inspired outline with a fishy nose and a double winged rounded pin tail. They have a single concave bottom in the center that blends to double concave, with slight vee out the tail for better maneuverability and rail to rail surfing.

The Jeff Clark 10’6” Riviera Sup Gun is the result of shaping surfsailing boards in the 80’s as well as big wave guns to surf Mavericks. The combination of rocker profiles that I use and the innovations in bottom and rail designs has allowed me to produce with Riviera a SUP Big Wave Gun.

The most unique design innovation for this sup gun is the rail chine that allows less wetted surface when getting on a plane. Once on a plane it allows you to roll into your turns effortlessly and powerfully. Inside the chine rails, the bottom is a single to double concave that has been one of the most proven and most ridden in all surfboards to date. The combination of all these designs has allowed me to produce a big wave gun that you can paddle out into any big wave surf with confidence.

I set this board up with Controller side fins and a 6.5” full base speed foil center fin.

Another benefit of the chine rail, is the ability of this board to pull up high on the face, and when you are ready to release away you don’t have to worry about catching your rail on the outside.The rocker of this board is the same that I use on my big wave guns, it will fit in the most demanding places that big waves have to offer.
