- Collapse of boom/jib due to failure of connection of pins or wire slings.

- Provision of suitable PPE, safety helmet, safety belt, and proper footwear, reflect vest, etc.

- Select suitable size and functions of plant and equipment for the work with proper sitting / placement arranged.

- Carry out weekly inspection and maintenance of the equipment.

- Riggers have to thoroughly examine the lifting gear and condition of pins before work.

- Lifting appliance and lifting gear should be thoroughly examined by RPE and hold valid certificate.

- Valid examination certifications should be displaced at a prominent location.

- Operators shall not use mobile phone while operating of equipment and never disturbed by other workers.

Electric Arc Welding Electric shock

Fire hazard

The process should not be carried out in humid condition or in rainy day.

Electric arc welding set should be equipped with automatic electric shock preventor

Equipment, bench and work piece should be properly and effectively earthed.

Approved shields and eye protectors should be used to protect the workers who carry out the process.

Isolate the welding zone by screen to protect neighbouring workers and passers-by from the arc.

Avoid welding near the flammable materials.
