Wrong?How To Overcome

ThisVideo Camera Whilst using the

video camera to film, the camera could malfunction, therefore leading to the filming having to be stopped. As well as this the video camera could not have enough battery, which would therefore lead to the shoot being postponed.

To overcome this issue, I will have to ensure that we will have a ‘backup camera’ as a precaution. As well as this, to overcome the issue of not having enough battery, I will have to ensure that I will have a ‘backup camera’, as well as having the charger for the camera as well.

SD Card Whilst using the video camera to film, the SD Card could become full, therefore resulting in the filming having to be stopped, as I am unable to capture it.

To overcome this issue, one thing, which I can do, is ensuring that the SD Card must be empted for use. A second way I can overcome this issue is by having multiple ‘backup SD Cards’ in order to film if the memory gets full.

Filming Schedule

During the time of the filming schedule, actors could be unable to make the shoot due to other factors. This would therefore mean that

To overcome this issue, I will have to ensure that the filming schedule and the actors alongside each other, knowing that the actors will

they wouldn’t make the shoot, delaying the filming schedule behind.

be free on this specific day.

Location/weather

During the time of the shoot, the weather at the location could change e.g. wanting to shoot on a sunny day however it’s raining. This would therefore affect the filming schedule, as I would be unable to film, moving the shoot onto another day.

To overcome this issue, one thing that I can do is to ensure that extra filming time is taken under consideration whilst planning the filming schedule. A second thing that I can do is to ensure that more shots are planned on a specific day, ensuring that all of the outside shots are taken in one day. As well as this, a third thing that I can do is to ensure that I have a secondary location in case the original location isn’t suitable for the date of the shoot.

Shots Whilst in the editing process, there could be areas where the shots don’t look as good as they did on the day, resulting in crucial shots of the film being needed to be re-shot.

To overcome this issue, I will have to ensure that multiple shots have been taken just in case that the original shot isn’t the best shot to use, therefore resulting in not needing to include contingency time within the

construction element.

Actors Whilst constructing the short film, the actors could be busy and unable to turn up for the shoot, therefore resulting in the shoot not being able to go through without the main actor and delaying the filming schedule.

To overcome this issue, I will have to ensure that the chosen actors are free on the specific filming days in order to complete the shoot.

Software Whilst in the editing process, the software used to create the short film could malfunction, therefore resulting in the work being lost.

To overcome this issue, I will have to ensure that I will have ‘backup copies’ of the short film in different locations e.g. USB stick and an online cloud.

Health & Safety whilst filming e.g.

accidents and falls etc.

Whilst shooting the short film, health and safety issues will come into place, as everyone who is a part of the shoot must be careful. The actors could have an accident whilst filming such as tripping up or slipping on something.

To overcome this issue, I will have to ensure that before the shoot, I will have to talk to the entire group about health and safety issues, to ensure that no one gets injured whilst filming.
