Outline

When we are filming we need to know the dangers that are surrounding us, and we need to know whether the area we are filming in is safe or not. We did this to minimize the risk of anyone getting injured in any way. We had to think about the people of the public as well of the people that we knew. We know there are many hazards so we have to be prepared.

Hazard Solution Risk Factor Why Was It Rated The Risk Factor Given

The cameraman may drop the camera whilst they are filming and this could damage the camera.

Make sure they hold the camera in the right way, through the hand holder and this will decrease any risks.

8 The camera is not owned by MediaCFZ and cost a lot of money so if it does get damaged we have to pay for it our self.

Someone may trip over loose cables laying on the floor.

Tuck them under the tripod or even lay the wire on the floor and put tape over it.

4 The reason I rated this a four was due to the fact that this hazard can easily be avoided.

Someone getting injured and needing medical attention.

Make sure you have a first aid kit on site and even a first aider.

9 The injuries could be from someone getting a paper cut to even falling and hitting concrete.

Equipment being stolen or lost.

Avoid leaving equipment unattended, and avoid filming during dark times.

6 This problem can easily be avoided, if an act like this does take place the consequences could be dangerous.

• We have assessed all the risk and hope that everything will go to plan and no injuries will be caused whilst we are filming.
