Hazard Risk Controlling Risk Record Your Findings

Review & Revise

Sunlight Could shine in the models’ eyes and create headaches as well as discomfort in the eye

Could wait until sun has moved or go to a more shaded location

Wait for lighting to be in a better place, avoids it going in eyes

Waiting for light to move

Road The model is sitting on the curb side – a car could come

Check road and wait until it is clear beforephoto is taken

Wait until there are no cars

Constantly checking that area is safe and there is not traffic

Objects at the scene

Could cause model/ photographer to fall

Move any unwanted objects from the scene

Move all objects away from shoot

Before the shoot, removed anypotentially dangerous and unwanted objects

Burns/fire The model is holding a cigarette – could burn himself or set fire to something

Ensure the cigaretteis as far as possible away from anything flammable

Make sure there is no ash on the end of the cigarette and it is away from skin/material

Make sure cigaretteis long enough to last during the photo shoot session beforehand
