CELEBRATIONS
The Republic Day was celebrated with great pride and enthusiasm on 25 January 2018. The students
par�cipated wholeheartedly in folk dances and folk songs of India. The programmes put up by the
students were colourful and depicted the cultural heritage of India.
With the onset on spring season, Godess Saraswa� was worshipped on the occasion of Vasant
Panchami. The students presented songs and dances in yellow a�re to celebrate the spring season.
The students imbibed the patrio�c fervors and hear�ul feelings and love for na�on and motherland.
The programmes presented by students on the occasion of Independence Day celebra�on were
patrio�c in theme. The patrio�c pride echoed in every heart as the students par�cipated in
celebra�on of Independence Day.
In order to understand the func�oning of school and undertake the challenging and dedica�ng work
of teachers, the students took the role of teachers and took classes for the whole day. They were full
of energy and enthusiasm and effec�vely imparted the role reflec�ng the skills imbibed in them. They
honored their teachers with self-cra�ed wooden photo frames as souvenir. They also presented
various programmes in the honor of their teachers on Teacher's Day celebra�on.
Gandhi Jayan� was celebrated to pay homage to' father of the na�on'. Inspira�onal passages and
incidents were spoken up by students to inculcate the values of non-violence, simplicity and honesty .
The students also performed songs and bhajans to mark the occasion.
The Children's Day was a gala day for all children. It was celebrated with great fun and frolic. The
teachers put up entertaining songs and dances to cheer them up. Students were presented with gi�s
designed by their teachers. Their crea�ve and humble effort was highly appreciated by the students.
The school proudly hosted its Annual Sports Day in the month of December. A plethora of
performances marked the occasion. The students par�cipated in various races , drills and the special
programme 'progressive India' - showing India's progress in every field over the years filled
everyone's heart with pride and love for the na�on . The annual report was read out. The dignitaries
were apprised of the glorious achievements accomplished by the school.
Nursery School celebrated Annual Day in the Month of February. The Students of classes Nursery &
Prep thrilled their parents by bold performances put up on the stage. They par�cipated in English &
Hindi play, Bengali group dance, group singing & Orchestra band with confidence. The young theatre
ar�st amused every one.
EVENTS
In house mee�ng was organized in the month of October. The parents got an opportunity to have a
detailed interac�on with teachers regarding their ward's performance .A book exhibi�on was held to
highlight the importance of reading books. The food stalls enthralled the parents.
'Food fes�val' was celebrated in the month of October. The students were made aware of the
delicious delicacies of India. It provided the students with opportunity to u�lise money and keeping
their surroundings clean. It was amazing to watch students with their lovely pouches trying their best
to u�lise money to buy food for themselves.
COMPETITIONS
Inter school compe��ons held at Rishabh in November provided students with an opportunity to
par�cipate in various compe��ons to enhance their talent.
The students of Rishabh put their best foot forward and made their strong presence felt in Sanskrit
Shlok compe��on ,Stone-decora�on ,crea�ve wri�ng, Hindi poem recita�on, rangoli (tradi�onal
and abstract) and calligraphy compe��on.
LEARNING BEYOND CLASSROOMS
Educa�onal trips provide students with an alterna�ve educa�onal opportunity to discover and gain
knowledge about the real world. Visit to Bal Bhawan, cra� museum, Delhi zoo & Agra were truly an
enriching experience for them. It gave them a chance to take a break from their monotonous rou�ne
as well.
The students of senior block visited Indira Gandhi Na�onal Art Gallery, History Museum and Nehru
planetarium.
Day camps are organised in the month of March every year. It make students self reliant &
Independent. They acquires social skills to share & adjust with others.
WORKSHOPS
The workshops on life-skill development were held for junior students to make them independent to
handle life's situa�ons with posi�vity and confidence. They were made to learn day to day required
life- skills like- needle and thread, culinary skills, home decora�on, health and hygiene-to men�on a
few. The senior students were mentored to acquire ar�s�c skills. The students were given workshops
by experts for charcoal pain�ng, folk pain�ng & wood carving.
DRILL SESSIONS
The senior students were made aware of “Road Safety and signs” through a workshop conducted by
Delhi Police. Quiz & pain�ng compe��ons were conducted to sensi�ze them about road safety. The
students were also taught to use accelerators cau�ously.
A drill on 'Women safety 'was also organized to empower girls for their safety.
An effec�ve drill on disaster management was conducted by SDRF team to teach students about
safety during occurrence of natural disasters like earthquakes. The students were made aware of the
impact of seismic tremors through mock drills related to safety during earthquakes.
“Planta�on Drives”- were undertaken to sensi�ze students regarding contribu�on of trees towards
our environment and their importance. The (senior) students planted saplings in Mayur Vihar Park.
ORIENTATION PROGRAMMES
Orienta�on programmes are conducted in the beginning of the session every year for nursery & prep
class parents to familiarise them with the course curriculum and paren�ng skills to support their ward
& the school in a be�er way. Orienta�on programmes for class I parents help them to take the
transforma�on from informal educa�on to formal one with ease .
INFRASTRUCTURE
School is coming up with an upgraded mul�ple sports facili�es pertaining to Table-Tennis, Chess
Ludo, Carrom-board, Basketball, Tennis, Ska�ng, Cricket net at junior, senior & interna�onal level.
An upgraded separate library for juniors & seniors in the school ensures a pleasant and informa�ve
learning right from the nursery class.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION CARDS
Physical Educa�on Cards directed and implemented by CBSE are conducted through organized sports
and games for junior school students.
CULTURAL PROGRAMMES
Cultural programmes are organized every month to enhance theatre skills. They par�cipate in folk
songs, dances, skits etc.
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY
Informa�ve-talks, lectures and Passages put up by classes help in developing public speaking and
develop confidence to face the audience smartly. These are also intended to remove stage fears.
CLASS PARTIES
Class par�es are organized to ensures that students share food in a disciplined manner.
NURSERY SCHOOL
No bags, No books, and No Homework is a pedagogical approach followed for pre- school students.
They are made to learn concepts in a fun filled way. Three R's Reading Wri�ng and Arithme�c skills are
developed through worksheets and by involving them in ac�vi�es like drawing, coloring, clay
modeling, origami, beading etc. There is no burden of books and home works and main emphasis is
on making children self-reliant, confident, courageous and good decision makers.
