SB 360 SB 360, the bill which threatens the seal of confession, is now headed to the State Assembly after passing out of the Senate. The seal of confession is one of the most sacrosanct of Catholic beliefs and penitents rely on this unbreakable guarantee to freely confess and seek reconciliation with God. We must continue to work to protect confession for all as the bill moves to the State Assembly. Please urge your State Assembly Member to vote ‘no’ on SB 360 to protect the seal of confession. Listen carefully to your children. If possible, observe and get to know the other children and adults who are part of your children’s summertime fun. Above all, communicate your safety concerns to your children. Make sure they know that they can come to you with any concerns they may have about the people they interact with. And if you hear of or observe behaviors that may be inappropriate, make sure to communicate your feelings to people who are in a position to intervene. Communication is key to creating and maintaining a safe environment all year round. MASS WITH ANOINTING EVERY FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH Join Fr. Raju every 1st Friday of the month for physical, emotional or spiritual healing at 8:00AM at the Holy Angels Chapel for Mass and Anointing of the sick. This position is an extension of the Bishop’s Ministry. Successful candidate must have a willingness and ability to support the mission of the universal and local Roman Catholic Church. This position will oversee all aspects of promoting, educating and advocating for the enhancement of human dignity at every stage of life. County Human Trafficking Taskforce, Pastoral Center Leadership Team (PCLT) and Collaborative Ministry Meetings, and other meetings/functions as requested by the Bishop. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a practicing Catholic and uphold the teachings of the

Catholic Church. Commitment to ecclesial vision and mission of Vatican II. Bachelor’s degree in social service (psychology, sociology,

counseling, education); Master’s degree preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Minimum of three years demonstrated practical experience in

field related to marriage and family life and/or respect life. Demonstrate ability to work cooperatively and tactfully with

other public and private agencies. Ability to recruit, motivate and support volunteers.
