Dragons vs. The Lords of Purple (5-1)

It was the Justin and Jerry show as they were involved in all 5 goals scored by the

Dragons. In a tightly fought 1st

period the Dragons went ahead courtesy of a

Justin Cheng goal taking his team 1-0 into the break. A quick goal by Jerry Tang

helped the Dragons pull away with 2 goal lead and another shortly after by Justin

frustrated the Lords of Purple. A goal from the slot gave the Lords some hope of

a comeback victory but was short loved as Justin and Jerry scored one each to put

the result beyond doubt. A stellar performance from Jack Woods in net helped

the Dragons cruise to an easy victory. Player of the game: Justin Cheng

Records smashed as Dragons win 23 goal thriller

Dragons vs. Mexican Mad Snakes (13-10)Carrying on their white hot form from the previous game Jerry and Justin scored a combine total of 19

points in a single game. Jack Woods was standing on his head throughout the whole period not giving

up any easy goals. With the Dragons in a commanding lead, up 5-1 at the break, the Mexican Mad

Snakes were looking for some inspiration. They found it after the break and scored 3 quick fire goals

and only trailed by 2 goals with 3.46 left in the period. The comeback was short lived with Jerry scoring

to make the score 12-10. Was it a lack of defence or just incredible offence? Who knows, but a 23 goal

game led to some poor goalie save percentages and placed the Dragons at the top of the ladder in the

first week of the playoffs. Player of the game: Jerry Tang

Bench Warmers hold on to top spot

Bench Warmers vs. Black Jacks (3-2)

The Benchwarmers hold on to win in a tightly fought game against the Blackjacks. The Benchwarmers

took the lead thanks to a goal from Estelle Ip 5 minutes into the first period and held the lead for most of

the period. Chris Lam then leveled the game up with 1.56 left in the period, however a break away goal

to Keith Yuen saw the Benchwarmers go into the break with the lead. Andrew Ng scored 25 seconds into

the second period giving the young team a 2 goal cushion. The Blackjacks came out strong knowing they

needed a win to help their playoff chances and got the game to within a goal when Chris Lam put one past

James Tang who had a solid performance in net. The Black Jacks pressed hard in search of a game tying

goal, but it was the Bench Warmers night, taking the game 3-2. Player of the game: Chris Lam

    Black Jacks Fate Sealed

    Donatello vs. Black Jacks (9-0)

The Black Jacks knew they had to come out and win this one to keep their playoff hopes alive after losing

their first 2 playoff games. The win was in reach after the first period with Donatello only leading by 2-0

at the break. However 3 goals in the first 6 minutes of the second period made the comeback hard.

In a dominant performance Donatello put in 4 more 2nd

period goals to make the final tally 9-0. In net

Andrew Sponagle was solid and stopped everything that came his way getting the shut-out and earning a

call up to the New York Yankees to play short stop after some incredible glove saves. Player of the

    game: Estelle Ip

14U division the Scorpions defeated the Sidewinders 9-0 in a lopsided contest. In the game of
