4 Kinder 2021 – Transition Program
7-11 Swimming Scheme
14 Presentation Day (Staff & Students Only)
14 Year 6 Graduation
PRINCIPAL’S REPORT Dear Parents and Carers,
Next week is our Swimming Scheme program. We are looking forward to attending the Kempsey pool for our
week of lessons. The weather is certainly warm enough so it should be a lovely week. Please make sure your
child has everything they need each day including their swimmers, towel, sunscreen, hat, water bottle and
recess and lunch.
As we are quickly heading towards the end of the year we are planning classes, programs and staff for 2021.
We understand that parents and students may become anxious about the changes in the new year. At the
moment there are a couple of staffing changes that may need to take place which is out of the school’s
control so please be patient and we will let you know as soon as we can.
At this stage, due to the COVID restrictions we are unable to include parents and special guests for our annual
presentation day scheduled for Monday 14th December. If this changes we will let you know as soon as
possible. We will make sure there are plenty of photos of our presentation day on Facebook.
The last day for canteen will be Friday 4th December. Kasey will also be opening the canteen on Thursday 3rd
December to purchase some items. Please see the available items outlined further in the newsletter.
Kind regards
Julie Carr

Eco-warriors in 1/3!
This Term, 1/3 are learning about Rainforests in Australia, and around the world. We are learning about the
uniqueness of the Gondwana Rainforests in Australia, and why it is so important that they are protected. We
have learnt of the many different flora and fauna found in the rainforest, and why rainforests are such
important eco-systems.
We have been working hard to plan, draft and write information reports on Rainforests, in particular those in
Australia. We are currently publishing our writing on Google drive. We have learnt to navigate, research and
summarise our information, with the help of Miss Perry and Julie.
This week we continued learning about fractions. We made fairy bread and then cut it into different factions. We
learned about halves, quarters and thirds. Then we all enjoyed eating our fractions.
After our fractions lesson we wrote a procedure about how to make fairy bread.
The Elf in our room, Jingles has been naughty and the children are excited to see where he has moved to every morning.
