As a part of its holistic development program, it prepares the knowledgeable scholars to become smart. Its volunteers—Vivek Singh, Padmaja Pawar, and Deepak Jadhav—conducted an aptitude training session for scholars in the third year of their degree courses on Sunday, April 3, 2016. This session helped students to understand the first screening process with most of the companies. During the session, the students were explained importance of having an aptitude test as a part of the candidate selection process. A sample test paper was shared and the attendees were informed about the different sections such as Verbal, numeric ability, reasoning, and language among others. The students were given the guidelines to prepare, tips and tricks to solve various questions were shared, and marking system was explained. The volunteers also shared some website links that provides information of various companies’ selection process. Knowledge is having the right answer; intelligence is asking the right question. Hence, students should ask questions to the interviewers before the aptitude test to understand their selection criteria. Students were explained this and given a list of questions that any candidate should ask the selection committee during the job briefing. Volunteers answered the students’ questions and clarified doubts. Around 35 students attended the session and were positive about facing the aptitude test.
