ABOUT THE TARzAN CLASSThe TARZAN jack-up is a self-elevating mobile drilling unit, designed for year-round
operation in water depths up to 300 feet in tropical storm regions.
This rig is a result of LeTourneau’s quest to meet the hydrocarbon exploration industry’s
new requirements imposed by complex sub-salt drilling operations, industry innovations,
safety, and environment advantages. This new class of jack-up meets these requirements
with the same high standards of constructability and robustness available in every jack-up
rig with the LeTourneau name. The TARZAN CLASS represents LeTourneau’s dedication to
industry leadership and to building cost efficient, long life cycle jack-ups.
Utilization of the LTI opposed-pinion elevating system and
complementary leg design have resulted in a significant
increase in the environmental criteria and load carrying
capacity under both drilling and storm
conditions. These new features
found on the TARZAN CLASS have
evolved from LeTourneau’s traditional
design philosophy of simplicity of construction,
redundancy, robustness, and ease of operation.

SUpER 116E ABOUT THE SUpER 116EThe Super 116E is an enhanced unit that builds on the
strengths of the original “workhorse” of the industry, the
LeTourneau 116-C, while expanding the capability of its
predecessor, the Super 116. The Super 116E provides
the international offshore drilling industry
with a proven versatile and cost-efficient
tool for exploration and development
drilling and workover capabilities in
most world regions.
The Super 116E cantilever with its

ABOUT THE SUpER GORILLADesigned and manufactured by LeTourneau Technologies
Offshore Products, the Super Gorilla lives up to the tough legacy
of the original Gorilla Class. This high-reliability jack-up is known
for coining the term “Harsh-Environment Jack-Up” in 1981. The
Gorilla Class jack-ups are built strong enough to perform almost
anywhere in the world, including some of the roughest waters
known to drillers, the Central North Sea, the African coasts,
the coast of Eastern Asia, both coasts of
North and South America, and the
Bering Sea.
The Super Gorilla features the Slotilever®
that can drill in both the slot and cantilever
modes in a pattern of 102 x 24 feet (31 x 7.3
meters) with drilling loads up to 3,750 kips.
In addition, the first Super Gorillas are dual
classified: American Bureau of Shipping
WAl, Det Norske Veritas 1A1 (N) and built in
accordance with the Mobile Offshore Drilling
Unit Regulations established by the USCG, IMO,
NPD, and HSE (UK) and other regulatory bodies.

SUpER GORILLA XLABOUT THE SUpER GORILLA XLThe Super Gorilla XL takes high-performance to new depths.
Operating within tropical storm regions in water depths to 550
feet, the Super Gorilla XL jack-up is built to the same robust
standards as its cousin, the Super Gorilla. Just like the Super
Gorilla, the XL is tough enough to perform almost anywhere in
the world, including the rough waters of the Central North Sea,
the African coasts, the coast of Eastern Asia, both coasts of
North and South America, and the Bering Sea.
And like The Super Gorilla, the XL
features the Slotilever® which allows
drilling in both the slot and cantilever
modes in a pattern of 102 x 24 feet (31 x
7.3 meters) with drilling loads up to 3,750 kips.
Additionally, all Super Gorilla Class rigs are
dual classified with the American Bureau of
Shipping WA1, Det Norske Veritas 1A1 (N) and
built in accordance with the Mobile Offshore
Drilling Unit Regulations established by the
USCG, IMO, NPD, and HSE (UK) and other regulatory bodies.
