FACEBOOK COVER REDESIGN Description: The Facebook cover redesign problem was a 2 hour classroom assignment at Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay during Communication Design workshop.Students were given a task to come up with a design option for making Facebook cover picture, more interactive and informative. My idea was to give the user the freedom to decide type of information he wants to display according to his interests, such as a backpacker might want to display his travels on a map, a music enthusiast might want to share his music interest with others.
Home screen to
include interactive
media such as
presentations,
videos, podcasts,
music etc.
Various screens
can be scrolled
horizontally.

REDESIGN
The user has the option to add several screens on the cover page, which will scroll horizontally. He can select the type of information he wants to display on his cover e.g.. recent images, music he loves pages he likes, books he reads etc. He can also add a customizable home screen that will feature rich media content such as videos, presentations, podcasts etc., giving the user much more creativity to express himself. The cover page can now be used by individuals and organizations to display the most important information on top, to market themselves better.
