Welcome to the 2015 Beer by Bus Guide, produced in partnership by Nottingham City Transport and CAMRA. Nottingham is home to some great real ale pubs and many of them are really easy to get to by bus! CAMRA have picked 50 of the best local pubs and all are served by regular services, including evenings. Buy an all day unlimited bus travel ticket for £3.50* and you have total flexibility to hop on any bus to get around Nottingham to enjoy your real ale. Buses run as late as midnight on Mondays to Saturdays and we also run regular late night buses at the weekends for people who like to stay out a little later. Enclosed is a map which shows the location of all 50 recommended pubs and the nearest bus route to use. There are also listings of each of the pubs which tells you everythng you need to know about the beer served, opening hours, food availability and if there are any discounts for CAMRA members. The pub comprises a lounge with a log burning stove in the centre, locally sourced food is cooked and a smaller room houses the bar with a dartboard. Skyblue 47 8. Restored by Everards, it now offers 14 ales and several real ciders and perries. There are 3 main drinking areas including wood panelling, attractive alcoves containing settles and real fires. Inside you will find a central bar and a welcoming atmosphere. TVs, darts and a pool table provide the entertainment. The opposing lounge features old bric-a-brac, and a large collection of books, for drinkers to browse. The secluded garden offers a haven in summer, winning many a Nottingham in Bloom. Popular with locals, with an emphasis on beer in a friendly environment. The pub features original beams while the two fireplaces keep the visitor warm in winter and the beer garden relaxed in summer. Live music on Saturdays. Orange 36 19. The seating is separated by unusual bare wood dividing beams. The bar offers five beers from Flipside Brewery, together with several guests. Outside, there is a large decked area. Decor is tasteful and minimal inside and complimented by a permanent marquee, sports room and spacious garden. Families welcome during the day. Pub games, such as darts and dominoes are played in the public bar, whilst the lounge also houses the dining area. There is a bright and colourful garden area, winner of numerous local awards. The interior has a large single room divided into two distinct drinking areas - public bar with pool table, darts and boxed games, and a quieter lounge area that can be partitioned off for functions. The upstairs cocktail bar is accessed by a sweeping stairway. There are two striking wall murals on a cricketing theme. The separate public bar houses the pool table and darts. Green 6 41. The landlord of the TBI in 1838, William Clarke, founded the cricket club, in the field behind the pub. After a £1m-plus refurbishment by JD Wetherspoon, the Victorian corner pub re-opened in 2011, The multi room interior has an array of mainly cricket-themed sporting memorabilia. It was refurbished in 2011 complete with new etched windows. The two single-storey wings house a lounge bar, and a public bar. Art Deco style windows and wood panelling, it is a well preserved classic piece of 1930’s architecture. Welcome to the 2015 Beer by Bus Guide, produced in partnership by Nottingham City Transport and CAMRA.

Nottingham is home to some great real ale pubs and many of them are really easy to get to by bus! CAMRA have picked 50 of the best local pubs and all are served by regular services, including evenings. Buy an all day unlimited bus travel ticket for £3.50* and you have total flexibility to hop on any bus to get around Nottingham to enjoy your real ale.

Buses run as late as midnight on Mondays to Saturdays and we also run regular late night buses at the weekends for people who like to stay out a little later.

Enclosed is a map which shows the location of all 50 recommended pubs and the nearest bus route to use. There are also listings of each of the pubs which tells you everythng you need to know about the beer served, opening hours, food availability and if there are any discounts for CAMRA members.

Former Shipstones pub (note the front windows), restored beyond its former glory offering nine cask ales. Visitors may recognise the bar having featured in both ‘Auf Wiedersehen, Pet’ and ‘Boon’.

The present building dates from 1890 and overlooks Trent Bridge Cricket Ground. The landlord of the TBI in 1838, William Clarke, founded the cricket club, in the field behind the pub. After a £1m-plus refurbishment by JD Wetherspoon, the Victorian corner pub re-opened in 2011, The multi room interior has an array of mainly cricket-themed sporting memorabilia.

This Victorian canal-side Inn is the tap of the Navigation brewery which is housed at the back. It was refurbished in 2011 complete with new etched windows. A central bar area serves the muli-area surrounds, the walls are adroned with old black and white photos depicting Nottingham scenes and people.

A Grade II Listed building designed by Thomas Cecil Howitt, built in the 1930’s as a Home Ales Brewery hotel, and extended in the 1960’s. The two single-storey wings house a lounge bar, and a public bar. Art Deco style windows and wood panelling, it is a well preserved classic piece of 1930’s architecture.
