I would like to introduce you to our CPD seminar series, which provides over 250 seminars across the UK this autumn. Following feedback from our members for the need of more local low cost CPD, we have introduced this series of one hour events that will help meet your CPD requirements, provide an opportunity to network and help you get the most from your budget.

The series provides a breadth of topics updating you on new standards, RICS Guidance Notes and other essential insights to enable you to provide a quality service to clients and help your professional development.

Also in this brochure are details of a one day CPD Conference coming to your region. Again these conferences provide great choice with parallel sessions looking at issues in land, property and construction along with two keynote sessions on the economy and BIM.

For more information on this series or any other conferences please contact the RICS Conferences team on +44 (0)20 7695 1600 or email [email protected].

RICS CPD requirementsUndertaking CPD is an essential part of being a professional. The aim of CPD is to:

• improve your professional competence for your own benefit and that of your clients and employers

• demonstrate how you have sought to maintain your competence in the event of a claim or allegation.

RICS requires members’ CPD to be effective, enabling them to work competently and to the highest standard. The outcome of the learning is as important as the number of hours spent on it, however RICS would find it difficult to consider less than 20 hours learning activities per year to be an appropriate amount of learning.

Advancing standards in land, property and construction.

RICS is the world’s leading qualification when it comes to professional standards in land, property and construction.

In a world where more and more people, governments, banks and commercial organisations demand greater certainty of professional standards and ethics, attaining RICS status is the recognised mark of property professionalism.

Over 100 000 property professionals working in the major established and emerging economies of the world have already recognised the importance of securing RICS status by becoming members.

RICS is an independent professional body originally established in the UK by Royal Charter. Since 1868, RICS has been committed to setting and upholding the highest standards of excellence and integrity – providing impartial, authoritative advice on key issues affecting businesses and society.

RICS is a regulator of both its individual members and firms enabling it to maintain the highest standards and providing the basis for unparalleled client confidence in the sector.

RICS has a worldwide network. For further information simply contact the relevant RICS office or our Contact Centre.
