Obituary & Life HistoryRicky “Rick” Joe Smallwood, 54, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend,born Friday, March 30, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Joe Smallwood & Zuma Jauree(Burford) Smallwood; passed from his earthly life Thursday, January 6, 2011 in Crosby, Texas withhis beloved family by his side. Ricky or “Rick” or “Splinter” by his family and friends has been aresident of the Houston area for over twenty years; Rick worked for Shell Pipeline LLP in Baytown,Texas for over twenty years and was a member of the Bikers Against Child Abuse or BACA. In hisfree time he enjoyed sports, riding motorcycles and playing poker on Saturday night. But what heloved more than anything in the world were the times he shared with his family and friends;especially his grandchildren who he loved playing and devoting his time to. He will be deeplymissed by those who knew him. Rick is preceded in death by his loving parents, Joe & ZumaSmallwood; and dearest friend, Stacey Davis. Rick is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-fouryears, Sheri Ann Smallwood; daughter, Jillian Baugh; son, Austin Smallwood; grandchildren, LevenPeters, Laila Peters, Johnathan Peters, Jaleigh Peters; sister, Shirley McCollun & husband Kenand numerous nieces, nephews, family & friends. A visitation will be held Monday, January 10,2011 from 5-8pm at Sterling ~ White Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday,January 11, 2011 at 2:00pm at Sterling ~ White Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sterling ~White Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Sterling ~ White Funeral Home & Cemetery,11011 Crosby Lynchburg Road, Highlands, Texas 77562.
