“Think Outside the Box”“Think Outside the Box”
• You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop that was in an accident and you see three people waiting near the bus:
1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?
•This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application. You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first. Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.
![Page 5: Rick D. Longobart](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022062807/56815140550346895dbf5a2a/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
“Think Outside the Box”“Think Outside the Box”
•The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered: 'I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams.'
Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations.
Never forget to 'Think Outside of the Box.'

Global Warming Act of 2006 – AB 32, SB 375 and 2202
Global Warming Act of 2006 – AB 32, SB 375 and 2202
AB 32 requires the State Air Resources Board to adopt regulations to require the reporting and verification of emissions of greenhouse gases and to monitor and enforce compliance, and requires the state board to adopt a statewide greenhouse gas emissions limit equivalent to the statewide greenhouse gas emissions levels in 1990 to be achieved by 2020.
SB 375 requires regions to adopt Sustainable Communities Strategies in the Regional Transportation Plan for the purpose of reducing greenhouse gases. It aligns transportation & housing.
AQMD Rule 2202 requires all companies with 100 and over employees to determine employees driving behaviors and traffic congestion.

• AB811 and AB118
• Solar Power Partners
• Energy Partner Programs
Assembly Bill (AB) 811 allows local government entities to offer sustainable energy project loans to eligible property owners. Through the creation of sustainable energy financing districts, property owners can finance renewable onsite generation installations and energy efficiency improvements through a voluntary assessment on their individual property tax bills. The assessment district approach adds a new and potentially powerful option to the clean energy finance landscape
