Regional Financial Controller, Dubai, 2013 - Current Reporting to the SVP of Operations and the Head of Finance; responsible for the finance function in the African Region of KCA Deutag (Algeria, Nigeria, Libya and Gabon) with 25 personnel/6 Direct

reports. The region currently has 14 rigs operating, generating $230m of revenue per annum, with focus on working capital/cash generation to fund opportunities for growth in an asset-intensive industry.

Major Accomplishments

Business efficiency initiatives generating $7m of annual savings Uncovered and resolved $12m of previously unidentified company risks, through implementation

of balance reconciliation reviews and control self-assessments Financial Lead in all commercial contracts, winning 9 new contracts and adding $200m to

region’s order book. Successfully implemented benchmark IRR requirements for business case investments and post

contract reviews Successful close-out of Tax audits in Libya, Nigeria and Gabon. Challenged the regions’ culture on compliance and led business in anti-corruption and bribery

Finance and Administration Manager, Azerbaijan, 2009 - 2013 Reporting to the Country Manager and Regional Financial Controller; responsible for the finance function, including all local statutory returns in the country, with 9 direct reports and 6 operating rigs. Finance Supervisor II, (UK Based – European Regional role) 2008 – 2009 Reporting to the EMEA Finance Director; responsible for financial statements in Estonia, Sweden, Hungary and UK, with a focus on restructuring plans for Hungary/UK and duplicating the procedure and controls from the Hungarian Plant into Estonia.

Successful coordination of the winding down and closure of the Hungarian operating entity

Business Controller, Hungary 2006 – 2008 Reporting to EMEA Finance Director; responsible for the full finance function and local statutory reporting of the manufacturing Facility in Hungary. This was a 2 year contract, specifically to setup up the systems, develop the local team, and maximize the value of the organisation as part of a rapid expansion plan. The entity grew from nothing to a $100m Revenue organization, achieving the

goal of maximizing the value of the organization for a sale and being the focal point for transferring the process/product line to a subcontract manufacturer.

Successfully implemented the Syteline System, with associated processes and procedures. Ensured financial control, costing accuracy and inventory control during rapid expansion.

Financial Controller, UK 2002 – 2006 Reporting to Managing Director, of Filtronic Broadband (Part of the Filtronic Group prior to the Powerwave takeover); responsible for the finance function, for an entity setup to manufacture and develop Telecommunications Filters and Microwave Transceiver devices.

A series of promotions – initially employed as an Assistant Accountant in 2002, promoted to Management accountant shortly after and then to Financial controller following the attainment of Professional status (CIMA) in 2004
