Program DetailsApply for a mail-in rebate from National Grid when you buy an eligible energy efficient pool pump between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013. You could save up to 70% a year on your pool-related energy costs!

Save energy and maintain a comfortable swimming pool temperature by using a smaller, higher efficiency pump. Take advantage of our rebates to help off-set the cost of high-efficiency equipment.

There are two different types of energy efficient pool pumps:

Two-speed pumps use induction motors. They are pre-set at two speeds. Using a two-speed pump, a typical pool owner can save up to 30% off of pump operation costs, translating to a savings of up to $370 per year. The additional cost of a two-speed pump can pay for itself in energy savings in about six months. Over a period of less than two years, energy savings may pay for the pump in its entirety.

Variable-speed pumps use permanent magnet motors (like those used in hybrid cars). Digitally-controlled, variable-speed pumps can be programmed at up to 3,050 different speeds (or flow rates). Remember, to minimize pump energy costs, operate your pool pump at the lowest speed needed to accomplish a job. Variable-speed pumps enable you to save up to 70% a year on your pool-related energy costs! They are also much quieter than single-speed or two-speed pumps.
