Numbering Plan

• Retain existing 10,000 Parkville direct in-dial number range

• Acquire a new 10,000 continuous* direct in-dial (DID) number range to : replace existing numbers** and cover expansion needs for all

remote campuses and

cover the Parkville expansion needs

*Victoria wide number range

**we aim to retain the existing “extension" numbers for the remote sites

Extension Mobility

• An IPTel user can login to any Cisco IP phone within the network and temporarily assign their unique extension, user telephony profile, and user web-based settings to that phone.

Phone User Web-Page

An IPTel user can:

• manage their call forwarding* preferences,

• create & update their personal address book and speed dial lists,

• change their phone pin number using their personal Cisco webpage.

*Can also be done via the phone

Unified Messaging & Voicemail

• An IPTel user with an Outlook or Entourage mailbox will receive, listen to and manage their voicemails* from their e-mail inbox or their phone

• An IPTel user without an Outlook or Entourage mailbox will receive, listen to and manage their voicemails* via their phone

* voicemails will be deleted after 21 days

Who will be need to logon / logoff IP Phones?

• Only users using Extension Mobility or a shared phone. – Mobile users – Shared phone environment – Common areas / Conference rooms*

* Common area phones (by default) will be set-up with emergency and internal call rights only

Caller Line Identity - CLI

INTERNAL calls

• Caller’s extension # and name will be displayed for the vast majority of users and

• “Translated” caller information will be displayed for some senior and call centre staff
