    1 Introduction to EMF Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) of Mobile Communication Network produce electromagnetic fields & can be viewed as the combination of an electric field and a magnetic field, EMF Radiations measurement Measured in the form of Power Density whose unit is W/m2 and is dependent on the frequency band at which it is being radiated, DOT has release the guidelines for EMF Regulation, The main aim of the measurement is to confirm the compliance of base station installation as per The limits prescribed by the Department of Telecommunications and ensure in terms of that will not effect to Public health RJIL LTE Threshold Power Density

    2 EMF Signages Board Specifications The Mobile service operator will ensure provision of proper signage warning board to be placed on a eNB sites for general public of the exclusion zone, The sign board should be clearly visible and identifiable and signage boards should as per the DOT guidelines EMF signage's board define into 3 category, 1.Danger RF Radiation! Do not touch the tower! Placement - On the tower structure at height of 2 to 4 mtrs 2.Warning Non ionizing Radiation! Beyond this point RF field exist that exceed the ICNIRP limits,

    Placement - To be provided only where exclusion zone is formed in any area accessible to public, like terrace etc 3.Caution Non- ionizing Radiation Placement - At entry point of roof of the building of BTS in case of RTT or at the entrance of BTS compound in case of GBT

    Color Code specification: The Color codes for Danger, Warning & Caution are Red, Orange & Yellow respectively, Size Specification: All Signages board shall be of 2 feet in width and 3 feet in height, Board Material Board shall be of fiber/ tin/Flex & shall be placed wherever it is applicable for RTT, RTP, Wallmount, GBM, GBT Some signage should make in form of plastic/ flex sticker with high adhesive

    4 Signages Board placement position for RTT 4.1 Placement Guidelines for RTT (Square & delta structure) Danger To placed on height of 4meter from the base of Antenna on RTT Structure , with the help of clamp as shown in the picture , can be place on any one leg of RTT (square/ delta structure), Case 1 if a site is in form of RTT + RTP , means two antenna place on RTT and one is on RTP, then 2 boards require Case 2- if a site is in form of RTT+RTP, means one antenna is on RTT and two are on Pole, then 3 signages board require, one for RTT, Two are for the poles Caution To be place on main entrance door of terrace, signages board to be place in form of plastic sticker high adhesive or can be hang on mail entrance Warning To be place on door of eNB room on ODC or on shelter room, signages board to be place in form of plastic sticker high adhesive or can be hang on main door e.g)for RTT, RTT+RTP

    5 Signages Board placement position for RTP

    5.1 Placement Guidelines for RTP (Single Pole & H Pole Structure)

    Danger To placed on height of 4meter from the base of antenna, with the help of clamp as shown in the picture , can be place as per below case Case 1 If three poles are placed in different corner, three Danger signage to be placed at each pole Case 2- If three pole are place together on same location in area of 5sqmeter, one danger signage to be place on any one leg Case 3 Incase for H type Pole, one danger to be place on each H Pole Structure Caution To be place on main entrance door of terrace, signages board to be place in form of plastic sticker high adhesive or can be hang on mail entrance Warning To be place on door of eNB room on ODC or on shelter room, signages board to be place in form of plastic sticker high adhesive or can be hang on main door e.g)for RTP single pole & H Type Structure

    6.1 Placement Guidelines for Wall Mount & Parapet Structure

    Danger To placed on base of wall mount of all antenna location & for Parapet structure to be place on height of 4 mters on parapet pole leg on all the antenna location Caution To be place on main entrance door of terrace, signages board to be place in form of plastic sticker high adhesive or can be hang on mail entrance Warning To be place on door of eNB room on ODC or on shelter room, signages board to be place in form of plastic sticker high adhesive or can be hang on main door e.g) for wall mount & parapet structure

    Danger To placed on height of 5 meter from the base of antenna as shown in the picture , Caution To be place on main door of eNB , signages board to be place in form of plastic sticker high adhesive or in form of tin/fiber board can be hang on main entrance Warning To be place on door of eNB room, signages board to be place in form of plastic sticker high adhesive or or in form of tin/fiber board can be hang on main entrance e.g) For GBM site

    9 Importance of Signages Board Signage's board to be place properly, if any signage's is missing, will make it non-compliance DOT Obligations: Penalty of INR 5000 to be imposed on per signage's board of first verification, if the compliance is not received With in 1 month from the inspection date, a penalty of INR 5000 per week shall be imposed there after, Subject to limit of INR 50,000 per site per instance Signage's board picture must require in EMF report mentioning their location Signage's board & Colour should be as per the standard format & as per DOT guidelines As during DoT audit, inspection person will check with the help of measuring tape for height, width & the location if vary, site will be non-compliance and penalty to be imposed on operator
