REVOLUTIONARY NEW PRODUCTSThe year 2016 saw two new revolutionary products launched by Rubbermaid – TCell 2.0 and Lumecel™.

TCell 2.0TCell 2.0 is Rubbermaid Commercial Products’ second generation of the revolutionary odour control system known as the TCell. It is a passive air-care solution that doesn’t require batteries and instead uses a patent green fuel cell technology to operate.

Whilst the product is eco-friendly and only uses green technologies, the passive air care solution delivers exceptional fragrance and odour control continuously and evenly for 30-45 days per refill, covering up to 170 cu. m., and comes with its own lifetime warranty.

Established in 1998, Reza Hygiene is a division of the Alireza Group of companies from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - a group that represents or partners with companies such as JC Decaux and McDonalds Restaurants.

Reza Hygiene's partnership with Rubbermaid Commercial Products has been an extremely successful one and dates back to 1999 when Reza Hygiene became the exclusive distributor and service provider in K.S.A for Technical Concept washroom products - a company that was later acquired by Rubbermaid. Reza Hygiene’s Washroom Division quickly became Saudi Arabia’s leading washroom service provider with over 50,000 air-care and surface-care dispensers serviced monthly.

With the subsequent addition of Rubbermaid products for cleaning, waste & material handling to the range, Reza Hygiene could introduce these products into market segments where its other divisions already had great market penetration, especially the healthcare, food & beverage, animal health, facility maintenance and energy sectors.

With its subsequent expansion into Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE, Reza Hygiene quickly became Rubbermaid’s largest single distributor in the MENA and one of the largest internationally outside of the U.S. This collaboration was expanded in early 2016 with Reza Hygiene taking over Rubbermaid’s logistics in Dubai for the master distribution of washroom products throughout the GCC.

For the TCell 2.0 to work, the fuel cell must create hydrogen in the fragrance chamber, and as each molecule of hydrogen is created, it forces an equal volume of fragrance out of the chamber. The natural air flow in the surrounding space then distributes the fragrance throughout the room.

TCell 2.0 is also a great fit for guest rooms, offices, lobbies, meeting rooms and other common areas where unpleasant odours can put a dampener on the environment. It has a broad variety of ten clean, fresh scents in consumer-preferred fragrance zones. The dispensers are also smartly designed to match any décor and are available in a choice of colours; black, white, chrome and brushed chrome.

LumecelTM

Rubbermaid took on the challenge of providing modern dispensers that do not require standard replaceable batteries but are just as efficient. The result of years of extensive R&D , its Lumecel™ technology is now being applied across its range of products. The Lumecel™ is a battery that transforms light into power, seamlessly capturing energy from either natural or artificial lighting. This means that the battery will never need to be disposed of or changed, making it environmentally cleaner than the standard battery-powered units. Its green credentials have been further reinforced as the LumeCel™ rechargeable energy cell is from the same family as nickel metal hydride, one of the greenest batteries in existence.

This new green technology has a lifespan of over 10 years, also making it a cost-effective solution for air-care, as no further batteries will need to be purchased. The product is self-chargeable; it performs in exactly the same way as the previous model, and it is also labour-saving as companies can rely on the technology of the product, rather than someone having to check the product and change the battery at regular intervals.

For Lumecel™ to work, the lighting in the washroom doesn’t have to be dazzlingly bright, either. Providing the washroom complies with the current lighting for health and safety regulations, any lighting should be more than adequate, whilst the optimum performance occurs at 300-500 lux.
