    gospel mittf8try Sunday by the Southside Baptist Church In Lincolnton. Parker is a graduate of Lincolnton High School, and is now presently enrolled as a sophomore at Gardner. Webb. He plans to attend Southeastern Seminary. He is mar· ried to the former Brenda Gall Jetton of Rt.5, Lincolnton, the daughter of the late J. W. Jetton. They have two children Bobby and Joseph. Mrs. Jetton still lives on Rt. 5, Lincolnton. Parker is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Paul Parker of Lin· colnton. Parker's grandfather (above rigb.t), Rev. C. C. Parker of Lake Lure, N. C. preached the ordination charge for his grandson, which was followed by the charge to the church by Rev. Eddie Reynolds the former pastor of Southside. Parker has been called to Harmony Grove Baptist in Marion. Be will begin bis work there the first Sunday in October. Others participating in the service were Rev. Morris Baker, Rev.   • Parker Is Pastor At Local Church Rev. Robert E. Parker of

    Lincolnton began full-time dut- tes as pastor of Harmony Grove Baptist Church in McDowell County Sunday, October 1.

    He and his family have moved to . the pa storage near t h e church. He will continue his studies at Gardner-Webb Col- lege.

    He is a grandson of Rev. C. C. P. Parker of Lake Lure, for- merly of the Marion area, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Paul Parker of Lincoln- ton. His grandfather preached the ordination charge for his I grandson, who was ordained 1 into the ministry October 1 by : the Southside Baptist Church I in Lincolnton.

    A large group from the Har- mony Grove church attended the ordination services. Others
