Secrets toStability“...‘I Am Forever.’ My Forever is what I make it. It’s my brand and my message, it’s who I am.”

Hopefully, you have seen one or even all of our series of “I Am Forever” videos. These videos truly inspire me and remind me that just like all of you, “I Am Forever.” My Forever is what I make it. It’s my brand and my message, it’s who I am.

There’s an ideology in the business world called corporate responsibility – the belief that businesses have the responsibility to the groups of individuals they have an impact on. My responsibility is you – Forever Business Owners and customers. Likewise, your customers, your teams and the countless number of fellow FBOs are your stakeholders. These are the people you affect daily with your business.

How you promote the products, handle customer concerns and support your teams with development tools is all crucial to their lives. How you conduct yourself directly impacts the way you and the Forever brand are positioned to the world. Your stakeholders depend on you to build a positive and trusted brand they can rely on.

With this, we have a responsibility to Forever – our personal brands. You may not have thought about this before, but how others perceive you

is important to the resilience of your business. Both on a professional level and a personal level, there are people all around you who rely on you ensuring your brand is unfailing. If this many people depend on you, what would you do differently?

Focusing on the integrity of your business is the basic principle of building a strong and stable team across the world. It is the key to lasting relationships, honest products and enduring success. As an individual, it is a growing opportunity for you. As you continue to make decisions with your stakeholders in mind, you become more aware of the right things to do and become a better business owner along the way.

This isn’t always the popular way to do things. It’s difficult. Sometimes, you have to roll up your sleeves and do what no one else wants to do, because in the end it matters to the people who depend on you.

Choose the path that less people have taken – lead when no one else will.

Forever Yours,

Rex Maughan CEO

This isn’t my first Global Rally, but it always feels like it. The Global Rally is so different from any other event that each time you go is really exciting. You’ve got to go to a Rally with the right attitude: I go into “kid” mode and try to have as much fun as possible, talk to FBOs from all over the world and soak up all the knowledge I can, no matter how insignificant it might seem. That way, I always end up with my backpack full of big dreams and new projects. Here is what I took away with me from the Joburg Global Rally:

1. A smile is essential from start to finish You wouldn’t believe how much the people in Africa smile: in any situation, everyone smiles... all the time. A smile is essential for starting up a business, making new contacts and sharing a product. What’s more, people in South Africa end a conversation with their very best smile, which is something Europeans tend to forget. At the end of a conversation, your smile should be as warm and welcoming as at the start.

2. Change is a big part of success if you think like an Eagle I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the future of Forever belongs to the Eagles. It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting as a FBO or if you’re already a Manager: if the word “Eagle” isn’t on your plan for 2016, get it on there now. The Eagle Managers are already part of the Company’s DNA and they’re becoming increasingly important in all areas of Forever. In 2017, on their Retreat, the Eagles will go on a Mediterranean cruise, stopping at Barcelona, Monte Carlo and Rome!

3. Motivation comes from actions not intentions Thousands of cheques were handed out as part of the Chairman’s Bonus. All the FBOs who received a cheque owe it to the hard work put into accumulating, at least at Level 1, an annual total of 700 personal case credits with 150 Novus case credits, qualifying for the Forever2Drive and developing a Manager who accumulated 600 case credits. These aren’t just good intentions; they are actions carried out every day to achieve our goals.

4. People need different leadership models to compare and choose from Take a look at the first 10 cheques from the CB, which range from $300,000 USD to over 1 million, and you’ll see that each one has its own model of success. Kim Madsen’s model isn’t the same as Ange Loughran’s or Emma Cooper’s, but we need different types of leadership models to help us visualize different people and contexts. What’s more, having a range of models means we can compare them and choose the model that suits us best.

Finally, I would like to thank Rex, Gregg and Aidan for giving me the opportunity to be here, the qualifiers from Spain and, last but not least, Africa for making me smile!

Joaquín García Operations Manager Forever Spain & Portugal

5. Prejudice is the number-one enemy of teamwork I spent one morning working with the Stop Hunger Now Foundation and hundreds of FBOs all over the world. No one had any prejudices at all, regardless of their language, country, level.... Everyone just focused on getting 500,000 bags of food sent out in four days. There was an incredible atmosphere which, for me, was the very definition of perfect teamwork.

6. The power of customer and Novus loyalty lies in a simple phone call One of the most successful Managers in the world is Jeanette Magnusson, Eagle Manager, Sapphire. Jeanette showed us the power of simply calling your customers two days after they place their first order to see if they’ve opened the product. Calling again after ten days to see if they like it and again after one month. With this simple formula, you’ll get amazing results with your customers and Novus, boosting loyalty like never before.

7. South Africa is so different that it can change your understanding of chaos Johannesburg or Joburg, as it’s called around here, is a chaotic city that grows in an unorganised, impulsive way, depending on each year’s key players and events. In fact, one organisation will tell you it has 4 million inhabitants while others claim there are 12 million. The Apartheid Museum is in an amusement park! But at the end of the day, the city works and the Rally’s organisation and logistics were perfect; so a certain type of chaos can actually be good for getting things done.

MAGAZINE Nº 62 | HIGHLIGHTS > P. 7

Marie Wahnon SupervisorHello, my name is Marie Wahnon and I am a mother of three children, who are now teenagers. I started this business in February 2016 by pure chance, although I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason when the time is right.

I was invited to a product launch and from the moment I was introduced to these products, I fell in love with them. I have always been a great enthusiast of natural products and remedies and have avoided where possible taking any antibiotics or medicines.

From the first day I started using Forever Living Products (which the whole family uses in my home since my first launch), I realised that they were superior quality products and got to love them even more when I had seen the health and beauty benefits in using them.

My sales so far are great, but I am finding the recruiting side of the business much

Diana Lourdes SupervisorHello everyone, My name is Diana.L.B. First of all I joined Forever Living out of curiosity as a friend recommended it to me. At first I didn’t understand what it was all about, as I must admit I had never know or tried any of the Aloe Vera products, so to me the product was something new.

I started using the product and found out that they are all amazing, and not only did I benefit from using them but also my entire family, e.g. it helped my hubby lose weight and also my 5 year old granddaughter’s eczema improved.

more challenging. I am however really enjoying what I do and am finding it very rewarding to hear the excellent feedback from my customers.

It can be very hard work and there are times when I feel like giving up because there are many ups and downs in this business, but the adversity is helping me grow as a person and getting the chance to help others is a real bonus.

I believe I have finally found my real vocation and I am learning new things every day. I am now working very hard with great enthusiasm to achieve my next goal and become assistant manager as soon as possible.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my team, for all their help and support throughout this short but intense journey and I am really excited about my future prospects in this new family.

The feedback from clients and friends are all positive, so what more can I say, Aloe Vera has improved our lives for the better and the fantastic marketing plan, which goes with our healthier lives.

I have to be honest, it’s not easy but with hard work and determination I am certainly heading for success with the support of a great team work.

Good luck to all and hope to see you all heading the same direction.

São Miguel, also known as the “the green island”, is the main island of the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores where the green stretch of forests and meadows dotted with hydrangeas juxtaposes with its cosmopolitan life. The cobbled streets are populated by magnificent historic buildings, churches and convents, alongside modern restaurants, hotels and sports marinas.

Nature is the pivotal attribute of this undiscovered paradise in the middle of the Atlantic. Blue and green lagoons, waterfalls, geysers and craters, white sandy beaches, exotic trees and plant species including tea, pineapple and passion fruit, make São Miguel Island a unique and unforgettable place.
