PSMP DECEMBER 2013 AND JANUARY 2014 NEWSLETTER Thank You! Thank you to everyone who came to the first PSMP Family Dinner of this school year. The family dinner on November 21st was a huge success. Our newest staff member, Jedidiah Adarquah-Yiadom had a chance to meet more of the parents and family members. Awards and certificates were given to all our students that achieved a 2.3 or above. Resana Malone was the high achiever for the high school students with a 3.4 and LaRon Boykin was the high achiever for the middle school students, making the high honor roll with a 3.5. Both of these students were awarded with a special medallion for academic achievement. We want to give a special thank you to Nancy and Carolyn Kenyon for sponsoring & hosting these dinners at the Quaker Meeting House for the Paul Schreurs Memorial Program. For those who didn’t come, you missed a great meal! We hope to see you at the next family dinner on Feb. 6, 2014. Student Highlight: LaRon Boykin LaRon Boykin is a 6 grader at Dewitt Middle School. He is one of PSMP’s new students. We are so pleased to have him in our program. When he comes to after-school he comes in with a smile and is always ready to get his work done. Last quarter he received student of the quarter at Dewitt Middle School and he also received our highest GPA award at the November family dinner, for our middle school students. Congratulations Laron, keep up the outstanding work you are doing.
