Thank you for your support!
My dear friends,
Thank you for a wonderful Town
Hall Meeting. This past Thursday
we had a Town Hall meeting where
I was able to hear your thoughts
and suggestions for beginning this
new chapter in our Parish family. About eighty people came
and discussed different ways we could integrate the commu-
nities of Saints John and James and Saint Mary’s. I want to
thank, in particular, the St. Vincent de Paul Society for put-
ting together the refreshments. I believe that everyone would
agree that our first Town Hall was very positive evening that
gave us great food-for-thought for moving forward in the
weeks and months ahead.
I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge some current
projects: Saints John and James:
*The bannister in the front of the Rectory has been replaced
and painted.
*The Statue of Our Lady in the front of the Church is in the
process of being repainted with the help of a generous parish-
ioner.
*There are plans to repaint the doors and railings on the
Church and to repaint the stairs and railings on the Rectory. Saint Mary:
*New Blinds have been put up in the Fr. Gibson Hall
*The Floors have been stripped and refinished
*The Mats have been washed
*The AED device is now installed in the Church and we will
soon plan to have a short explanation/training for the use of
this device at both St. Mary and Saints John and James.
*New tables have been delivered I want to thank the many people who made these projects
possible, and offered their generous time and talents to ac-
complish these projects, and I want to thank in particular the
St. Mary’s society of Women for the above-mentioned pro-
jects at St. Mary’s for their generous contributions to make
these possible. This weekend’s Gospel acclamation seems most fitting;
“Blessed are they who have kept the word with a generous
heart and yield a harvest through perseverance.” My dear
friends, we have a lot of work ahead of us in the coming
weeks and months, but with our perseverance and dedication
to God through this community, will bring about a renewal in
faith and devotion in our home of West Warwick.
Have a blessed week and God LOVE YOU!
Fr. Fleming
Mis queridos amigos,
Gracias por el maravilloso Town Hall.
El jueves pasado tuvimos nuestro pri-
mer Town Hall donde pude escuchar
sus opiniones y sugerencias para co-
menzar este nuevo capítulo en nuestra
familia parroquial.
proyectos actuales: SS John y James:
and James.
Padre Fleming
