your understanding to this adjustment in our
schedule for December 24 only.

Fourth Sunday of Advent Today’s Gospel is the wonderful story of the
Annunciation of the Angel Gabriel to Mary.
Over the years we have seen many artistic
renditions of the Annunciation story. Take a
moment today, before the festivities of Christmas
get underway, to pray with your favorite image of
this story and ask for Mary’s help by praying the
“Hail Mary”.
Looking for Volunteers!
On Sunday, December 24 after the
10am Mass!

Dear Parishioners and Friends,
Christmas Blessings be with all who have come together in worship and praise God Most High.
May these days of family and friendship be filled with joy. It is a Merry Christmas because of
God’s great love for each of us. Some may ask why we bother to celebrate with such joy an event
in history that happened so long ago. An event in history that took place in an obscure land and in
such a remote village. All the “action” of the times seemed to be centered elsewhere with
powerful nations laden with all the earthly riches one could ever imagine. It was to this remote,
obscure, poor town of Bethlehem, that the Word became Flesh. Joseph and Mary, servants of God
Most High traveled to this ancient town to do what was being asked of them. Through them, God
manifested His love for all humanity. God sent His Son and Savior/Redeemer of all. Just as we
never tire of hearing words of love and friendship from those we love, God never tires of sharing
his love with us through His only Begotten Son. We can’t help but celebrate and remember God’s
love with gratitude and thanksgiving. The Parish Pastoral Staff joins with me in extending wishes
for a Merry Christmas to each of you and your loved ones. May the coming New Year be one that
is filled with Peace, Happiness and Good Health for all.
Advent and Christmas Blessings always, Fr. Michael
