I write to you concerning the New House Bill #3320 and Senate Bill #1209, “The ROE Act”, which has been proposed by both the State Senate and House membership.
If passes the law 1. Allows abortion on demand in our Commonwealth for all nine months of pregnancy; 2. Removes any requirement that even late term abortions be performed in hospitals; 3. Removes any need for a young girl to obtain any consent whatsoever before undergoing an abortion procedure; 4. Removes any requirement that efforts be made to save a living baby who survives the abortion procedure; and 5. Funds these types of abortions through the “Healthy Start” program even for women who do not qualify for MassHealth.
Therefore, we encourage all parishioners to contact State Representatives (by email, letter or phone) to discourage support for this bill.

EL SACRAMENTO DEL BAUTISMO Hemos comenzado en la parroquia una nueva Pastoral Bautismal que es más completa y adaptada a las necesidades pastorales que se presentan. Se desarrolla del siguiente modo: 1.- ENTREVISTA INICIAL CON EL SACERDOTE. El día designado para las entrevistas bautismales es: Martes, de 2:00 pm a 7:00 pm, en las oficinas parroquiales.
2.- VISITA E INSTRUCCIÓN DEL EQUIPO BAUTISMAL. En segundo lugar, cada persona o pareja que va a bautizar recibirá una visita en su casa por parte de miembros del Equipo Bautismal que les instruirán sobre el bautismo en un ambiente de fe y cordialidad.
3.- CLASE BAUTISMAL. El penúltimo viernes de cada mes (8 días antes del bautismo) habrá una clase bautismal para padres y padrinos a las 7:30pm en la Capilla del Convento para explicar el rito del bautismo y su significado.
4.- BAUTISMO. El día del bautismo será publicado en el boletín de antemano con varios meses en antelación.

Growing up on the edge of poverty, Hector wrestled with homelessness, and was struggling to find food. While playing basketball in a local Church league, he met Fr. Paul O’Brien, who encouraged him to go to college.
Fr. Paul was there for Hector at every step of his journey to college and beyond. With his help and guidance, Hector went on to play basketball for Regis College, graduate, and now works as a school counselor to give back to students the same hope and inspiration he received. Like Fr. Paul, our senior priests in good standing have been helping others for decades.
As we celebrate this Easter with our families and friends, please remember the Boston priests who have helped us along our life journey and consider making a gift of thanks to the special Easter collection for their health and retirement needs.
Funds from this special collection are managed by the Clergy Health and Retirement Trust – an independently managed trust with a majority lay board of trustees. The funds are used for the sole benefit of active and senior priests in good standing.
