What is plastic?

A material that contains one or more organic polymers of large molecular weight, solid in its finished state and at some state while manufacturing or processing into finished articles, can be shaped by its flow.

Why we need reuse of Plastic Bottles?

Plastic bottles are certainly ubiquitous--they bring us everything from household cleaners to soft drinks to things so readily available as water. These bottles, while convenient, do have disadvantages when used on as wide a scale.

The main problems are follows :DecompositionDifficult to Recycle Non-renewable

Some techniques through which we can minimized the wastage of plastic bottles and beneficial in reducing environmental pollution.

1. Aqua Spikes

Drip watering helps avoid run-off and allows the water to be absorbed deeply into the soil getting to the roots of the plant. Reusing plastic bottles to accomplish this is a win/win situation.

2. Pen Holder

Of course a well cut plastic bottle can be used to hold pens, pencils, paper clips, screws, nuts, bolts and just about anything else.

What you’ll need: two plastic bottle, zipper, Nylon thread, knife, thin needle, hole-punch, tape

How to make it: Cut off the bottoms of

plastic bottles at approximately 2.5 centimetres. Cut out the auxiliary construction and, using tape, stick it to the edge of the cut-out bottom.

Use a hole-punch to pierce the bottom where the auxiliary construction marks the stitching holes with dots. Remove auxiliary construction.

Pass the Nylon thread through the eye of thin needle and sew zipper around the first bottom and back. Repeat with second bottom.

4. Flower Wall Hanging

This is a plastic flower wall hanging from the bottoms of 2 litre plastic bottles.

We wanted to do some recycled art and use up the large plastic water bottles

5. Plastic bottles and old candles

In this method you only need to collect some waste wax and put it into plastic bottles and inserted filament into it.

It can be easily used in remotes places for lighting purposes.

7. Manchester Blooms

All-weather, water-proof, slug-proof flowers to brighten up your garden. Flowers might be out now, but how lovely to have some bright flashes of colour during the winter months

Conclusion

From these above discussed methods we can not only decorate our homes/garden but also it helps in reducing environmental pollution and the cities will look clean and beautiful.
