Welcome!We are delighted to have you back and have planned a special weekend!

There are Deerfield administrators and students here for you to talk with, a Deerfield Update from Margarita

O’Byrne Curtis H’57, Head of School, and Philip Greer ’53 P’94 G’13, President of the Board of Trustees,

interesting sessions to attend, wonderful exhibits to visit, great food and refreshments to enjoy, and a

chance to reconnect with old friends and Deerfield. We hope you have a wonderful weekend and all of

Alcohol Policy No alcohol is to be brought onto campus or consumed in the dormitories. Consumption of alcohol is ONLY to take place in the tent or designated reception sites while the bar is open.

Athletic Facilities The Koch Pool will be open on Saturday from 1:30 to 5:00 pm. Supply your own towels.

Tennis courts will be available all weekend.

Banking Needs There are no ATMs on campus. The nearest ATM is at the Deerfield Inn.

BarDrink tokens can be purchased in the Main School Building (cash or credit card) or at various dinner locations (cash only).

Boyden Library Hours Friday and Saturday are 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. The air-conditioned library provides a cool and comfortable spot for relaxation.

Childcare Childcare is available in the tent between Field and McAlister for alumni children ages 3 to 14. Children must be potty trained; no exceptions. The childcare program includes activities for various age groups. Supper will be served to children on Friday and Saturday evenings. At times other than those noted, parents are responsible for the care of their children. The school does not provide care for children under the age of three.

Childcare Program hours are: Friday: 4:00 pm to Midnight Saturday: 8:45 am to Noon; 1:00 to 4:00 pm; 6:00 pm to Midnight

Sleeping arrangements: If space is available, ap-propriately aged children will have a separate room. Otherwise, sleeping bags and pillows are required.

Clambake Seating Dinner seating is color coordinated by class. Look for colored table flags indicating your class reunion.

Communications To check email, there will be computers available in the Boyden Library as well as in the Ephraim Williams living room. WiFi is available in dormitory rooms and most public areas. Faxes may be sent to and from Ephraim Williams, 413-772-1123.

Deerfield Items for Sale The famous team of Dottie and Norm in addition to Bernie Motyka P’04 will be on hand to help you make your selections of Deerfield paraphernalia. The Deerfield stores (Hitchcock House and the Athletic Store) will be open Friday and Saturday between 9 am and 6 pm and on Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm. Items will include old athletic uniforms (hockey and football) and odds and ends from the Athletic Store.

Dress for the Weekend Weekend dress is casual except for the Grand Classes and 50th Dinner on Thursday and the 50th Dinner on Friday evening, where a coat and tie for gentlemen are preferred.

Housing Every effort has been made to house you with your class-mates. If you are a late registrant or a last-minute “walk-in,” this may not be possible. Sleeping arrangements: If space is available, appropriately aged children will have a separate room. Otherwise, sleeping bags and pillows are required. Bathrooms are gender specific.

If Raining… In the event of rain on Saturday, alternative locations or cancellations will be posted on the message board in the Main School Building.

Lost and Found The Registration Desk in the Main School Building is the center for turning in or claiming “lost and found” objects.

Medical Assistance An EMT will be available on both Friday and Saturday. In the case of an emergency, call the Deerfield Security cell phone 413-772-9880, or from a campus phone, dial 9-911.

Messages There will be a message board in the Main School Building.

Parking Campus Security will guide you to the appropriate parking area. Handicapped parking will be provided. Please observe No Parking signs.

Pets No pets of any kind are allowed.

Registration Hours for Registration in the Main School Building are: Thursday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (for the 50th and Grand Class Alumni); Friday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm; Saturday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
