Pepsodent toothpaste has been around for many years, and is the brand that many americans grew up with. It was a basic, straightforward toothpaste, nothing fancy. And it still is, but it's been brought up to date!

And best of all, it pretty much the least expensive toothpaste around.

Some years back, the makers of Pepsodent were a little slow in getting in on the fluoride thing when most of the other major brands were promoting it heavily. As a result, sales went down, and it almost died out.

But Pepsodent now has fluoride added (as 0.24% sodium fluoride), and is now about equal to any other toothpaste with regard to preventing cavities.

In most other respects, Pepsodent is a solid, simple product. It doesn't claim to have any fancy chemistry, or have an unusual texture or taste. It's a standard, no-nonsense paste that tastes very pleasant, without any burning sensation.
