C&W are appointed by The Crown Estate as a total outsourced team to manage all property and facilities management of this 3.5m sq ft world renowned mixed use estate and landmark shopping district since 2003. In addition, C&W are responsible for all professional L&T work. Regent Street Direct is the brand adopted by C&W to represent the estate and includes a site based team of 35 personnel.

C&W have been appointed as the managing agents of Old Spitalfields Market since April 2014. The historic site consists of the a broad range of uses including the market itself as well as retail, restaurants and residential.

C&W have implemented a wide range of modernisation initiatives in the first three months of appointment including updating the service charge to be RICS Code compliant and retendering of the legacy cleaning and security contracts.

C&W have a comprehensive relationship with the client and are also responsible for the Lettings and Landlord & Tenant advisory. property for sale.

C&W have been appointed by Aviva since April 2010. The centre lies within a designated area of archaeological importance within the city and includes a Grade II* listed building. C&W resolved all legacy issues from the previous managing agent, created a revised service charge apportionment without retailer dispute together with a retender of soft services in 2012 resulting in savings of 10% to the service charge. C&W is currently assisting the Landlord with a proposed £7m reconfiguration and refurbishment scheme.

ST GEORGE’S SHOPPING CENTRE, PRESTON

C&W were appointed by Aviva to property manage this 270,000sqft shopping centre in March 2010. C&W were responsible for implementing the rebranding of the asset from The Mall back to the original St George’s name on purchase. Since commencement of the management of this scheme we have also recruited a new centre manager, this process took a month to complete and was a crucial post to fill.

FIVE WAYS, BIRMINGHAM

C&W have been appointed to manage this mixed use asset on behalf of Aviva Investors, the asset consists of one hundred and ten residential units, a twenty four screen cinema and fifteen bars and restaurants. C&W are currently working through a major maintenance programme, to re-energise the leasing and to increase retail sales via the new anchor tenant – ODEON Cinema.

OMNI LEISURE, EDINBURGH

C&W have managed the 292,000 sq ft multi let leisure scheme in central Edinburgh since March 2010. The development includes a Vue cinema, 5* Autograph Collection hotel, 1000 space car park and 11 bar and restaurant units. C&W has conducted a formal mediation with the tenants to resolve an historic service charge legacy issue from the previous agent and to replace the chiller plant due to a lack of planned maintenance. We have also assisted in the due diligence to agree a letting to QParks resulting in a guaranteed car park income together with a £400,000 car park refurbishment.

THE CROWNGATE SHOPPING CENTRE, WORCESTER

Crowngate Shopping Centre has been managed by C&W since 2012. The two separate malls, Chapel Walk and Friary Walk, are home to 71 retailers providing an offer of retail and restaurants that spans from convenience to destination of choice.

C&W are provide full support to the client in their asset management aims for the long term success of Crowngate. Modernisation has been key with initiatives including World Host training for all staff, a dedicated marketing manager to lead on multi-platform communications, and local partnerships have been secured with Worcester University to promote retail entrepreneurs.

MK1 SHOPPING PARK, MILTON KEYNES

C&W were appointed in 2012 as managing agents of MK1 which consists of 117,500 sq ft. The newly developed fashion park is anchored by Marks & Spencer and Primark. With C&W managing this asset, the Crown Estate has achieved the BREEAM rating of excellent at MK1. MK Leisure is being developed on the site adjacent to the park which is a 70,580 sq ft scheme including cinema and 7 restaurants.
