“It is the resolution of the Council of the College and its Board of Faculty to seek the establishment of an Australian Resuscitation Council - and a similar organisation in New Zealand, with representation of professional groups - medical, paramedical and legal – voluntary community based organisations, industry and commerce, the Standards Association and industrial and health authorities.” “It is hoped that an organisation of this nature, with education and technical committees, both national and state, would ensure the appropriate uniformity of teaching, equipment and training in the very important field of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.”
