Greetings in Christ! We were blessed to have a relatively mild winter this year here in Central KY. Sundays have been

especially nice, weather-wise.That has really helped out and boosted our attendance for Sunday morning worship. In fact, we had over 100 people in

attendance every Sunday morning in February!We were also blessed with many first-time guests.

I am very excited about the arrival of spring and look forward to some really good days ahead at Mt Eden!

Here's a few updates...

Work on the Church BuildingIn mid-January, new carpet was put down inside the main church building. It looks great! It’s the first time the carpet

has been replaced in 35 years.We are developing an overall plan, with different phases in-volved, including painting inside the church, re-organizing

classrooms and a new playground.

Music MinistryI am sad to report that Bret Kelley, who was helping us with our worship since last November, had to step down from his

post in early February due to some unexpected situations.In Bret's absence, we have picked back up on the search for

a piano player and musical help.We were pleased to report that Susannah Holder is feeling better and has agreed to come and help with worship for at

least 2 Sundays a month.We thank Patsy Rose and Billie Schmidt from Gardenside Christian Church (Lexington, KY) for coming out and

playing piano for us in February.Clarence Stafford is currently working with the choir for

some special music for Easter.

Wednesday Night ElevateOur Wednesday Night Bible Study picked back up on

January. We are in a study of the book of Titus.In February, I had to miss a couple of Wednesday nights. In my absence, one our Elders, Albert Halcomb, stepped up to lead the class. By all reports, he did a great job. I am very

proud of him!We are planning on continuing through May and a consider-ing some special meetings during the summer. Stay tuned!

It's an exicting time of the year at Mt Eden!The children are learning about the Passover and its relation

to Christ being our Lamb.We'll be filling Easter baskets for the Nicholasville Salvation Army on Saturday, April 8th and then having our Easter Egg

Hunt at Mt Eden on the following Saturday, April 15th.

Big THANKS to Abby Sorrell for getting the ball rolling on the NEW PLAYGROUND at church. It's looking great!

We are increasing our ministry with the Middle School and High School youth at Mt Eden.

Todd & Carla Hargett have agreed to help with this group. We took a small group to the Winter Jam concert at Rupp

Arena on March 11th.We still planning to add a once-a-month youth service

sometime this year.I am also planning a trip to visit the Ark Encounter in northern KY sometime in May...Stay tuned for details!
