Friends,
Last week in our prayers at Mass we remembered Msgr. Bill
Kaufman. Many of you, after Mass, came up to me with
questions and concerns. Father Kaufman was pastor here at
Resurrection for 11 years. As many of you can remember he
was battling prostate cancer during his time as pastor. Well,
unfortunately, we have learned that his cancer has returned.
Please keep him in your prayers as he undergoes treatment.
Here is his mailing address in case you would like to send him
a note of encouragement:

During these summer months we will be working on a few
physical improvements around the parish campus. I will keep
you informed as we begin. We will also be forming a parish
council over the summer. We will be seeking out about 12
people to act as a board of advisors for our parish. We will
discuss our vision and plan of what kind of parish we want to
be. I will be seeking out many of our generous younger parish-
ioners who can bring to the table some fresh ideas and creative
ways to renew and refocus our parish mission. If you have a
young parishioner in mind, who you feel would be great
serving on our council, please let me or one of our staff know.
It will be awesome to have our next generation take up the
challenge. Great things are happening, stay tuned.
+Father Jim
Please pray for all
sick and infirmed.

Trip To Italy with Father Jim November 4th - 14th 2018
Group trips usually have you running and rushing through a
whirlwind of sites at such a fast pace that it leaves you forgetting almost everything. Our Trip is uniquely different! We have a trip designed to truly take-in and experience Italy. We stay only in 3 luxury hotels the entire time. We get to know the local flavors by taking our time. We have daily mass, meals and personal guides throughout. We will see so much but at a leisurely pace instead of rushing. Travel with me and another fun priest, Father Matt Tralies, for the trip of a life-time. For information about our itinerary, pricing, and registration, contact Susan from Select Tours at 800-842-4842 or [email protected], or visit www.selectinternationaltours.com. Or simply call me or stop by the rectory for a brochure.
We are in need of additional lectors for all week-
end Masses, especially at our 12 noon Mass. If
you are interested in serving in this important
ministry, please contact Deacon Friel either by
e-mail at [email protected] or by calling
the rectory at 215-745-3211. Thanks to all who donated food for our local pantry.
Catholic Social Services appreciated all of donations
and said that they will go a long way. Thank you to our
Knights of Columbus who ran the food collection. If
you are interested in joining the Knights of Columbus
please email: [email protected]
