Served 3 tours in Iraq before being honorably discharged in 2006

Pictured in Chris Kyle’s book American Sniper while on deployment in Fallujah, Iraq

Co-authored an after-action report on the battle of Fallujah in 2004 that was published in The Marine Corps Times

and The Marine Corps Gazette, and was incorporated into military and civilian training courses

Engineer – Community Solutions Initiative May 2011 – Current

Led a team of volunteer engineers in Hyderabad, India (Feb. 2013 — Oct. 2013) to build bicycle powered energy

generators, rechargeable LED flashlights, and charge controllers for use in schools

Reduced the production cost of units built in Hyderabad, India through design modification and price negotiation:

87% decrease in cost of generator units, 16% decrease in cost of flashlight units
