* The first sitting commenced with the playing of National Anthem.** The Session was scheduled to conclude on 26 August, 2005. However, as per the

decision taken in the meetings of Business Advisory Committee held on 18 and24 August, 2005, and agreed to by the House the sitting of the House fixed for Fridaythe 26th August, 2005, was cancelled and the sittings of Lok Sabha were held onMonday, the 29th and Tuesday, the 30th August, 2005 in order to provide sufficienttime for completion of essential Government Business. The sitting ended with theplaying of National Song.

Thomas the adjournment motion inShri Anant G. Geete his place. The SpeakerShri Yogi Aditya Nath acceded to his request.

Accordingly, Shri SukhdevSingh Dhindsa sought leaveof the House. As leave wasnot opposed, the Speakerinformed that the leave wasgranted and directed that themotion would be taken upimmediately. Accordingly,the motion was discussedand negatived after division.— Ayes 130; Noes 270.
