As I graduated high school I continued to work in the same company, while also studying at the University of South Australia. I completed a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Human Resource Management. I graduated approximately 2 ½ years ago and have since moved from the retail industry into the Business Industry, particularly the health industry. I have worked a number of different Administration roles within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), most notably, Admissions Officer at the Modbury Hospital. The loyalty and dedication to my employer is evident when you consider the length of time I worked in the same retail company for (7 years), and having now worked within NALHN for approximately 2 years, this is just another example of that loyalty and dedication. I believe my study is useful and relevant in many different industries. It is new-found knowledge that I will carry with me into every job that I get, and I will use this knowledge to appropriately develop my own skill sets and be the most efficient and effective worker that I can be. Although I have predominantly worked in the health industry since graduating and since leaving retail, I am open to entering new and exciting industries where I believe I can be an asset to the team. I hope to use both my study and my work experience to help build a career in something I am truly passionate about. Employment History

Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), SA Health, Government of South Australia

Modbury Hospital Admissions Officer, ASO-2 May, 2016 - PresentAfter almost 18 months of working in the casual pool, working in different parts of the hospital, learning different roles, developing new skill sets, and working consistent hours, I was given a contract to work as the Admissions Officer in the Corporate Support Services department. This is a job I was already particularly familiar with, as it was one of the main jobs I worked while working in the casual pool. It involves printing numerous reports, admitting patients up to the ward, database entry, general phone calls and enquiries, coding and filing, and just general secretary duties.

Modbury Hospital (Acting) Car Parking Officer/Fleet Coordinator, ASO-3 December, 2016 – January, 2017 (1 month)I was given an opportunity to cover a higher position over the summer holidays while the Car Parking/Fleet Coordinator was away. This role was a new and exciting experience for me, it involved a lot of hands on work. Including the maintenance of the pay stations, ticket machines, and the boom gates across the whole Modbury Hospital Car Park site. In terms of the Admin work, I had to handle different databases, give car parking access to new employees, and deal with unhappy patients and staff in regards to anything car park related, among other general duties and enquiries.

Modbury Hospital (Acting) Corporate Support Services Office Manager , ASO-3 July, 2016 - July, 2016 (1 month)Prior to being given the opportunity to cover the Car Parking role, I was also given the opportunity to cover my managers’ role while she was away on leave. I was able to do this with competency, considering that I had a wealth of knowledge about all the different roles within the department. Not only was I able to help out the staff members if they had any problems or issues with their role, but I was able to do so with extensive knowledge about how to manage staff, putting my Bachelor of Management in Human Resources to good use. During this time not only did I have to ensure the department run smoothly, but I was put on the interview panel to help find a suitable employee for a role within the hospital. The experience of witnessing firsthand how the interview process works was a really good experience for me, and an experience I felt really comfortable with being involved in. The background I have in regards to my study of Human Resource Management definitely played a factor in this comfort.

Resume Andrew WebsterModbury Hospital Casual Pool December, 2014 - April, 2016I worked a number of different ASO-2 Administration roles while working in the Modbury Hospital Casual Pool, of which include:Admissions Officer/ED Patient Flow Coordinator/Car Parking Committee Minute Taker/Grand Round Coordinator/ED Secretary and Transport and Cashier Officer. The two main roles I worked were Admissions Officer and ED Patient Flow Coordinator. I found that learning all these different roles helped diversify my skill set and it helped me to learn how to form new work friendships quickly. The role of Admissions Officer was explained above, and the ED Patient Flow Coordinator role is of a similar caliber. The role of minute taking was in interesting one that I found particularly challenging, although I found it refreshing and a great experience. As was being the organizer of an event called the Grand Round, which was held each week. I felt at ease with the Transport and Cashier Officer job, as I have a wealth of experience in dealing and handling money. I also covered the Interpreting/Volunteer Coordinator role fairly regularly, this is an ASO-3 role and it predominantly involved booking interpreters for patients.

Lyell Mcewin Hospital October, 2014 - December, 2014Booking Coordinator in the Division of Surgery. Before working at Modbury Hospital, I briefly worked at the Lyell Mcewin Hospital. I was employed as a casual and spent all of my time working as a Booking Coordinator in the Division of Surgery. This job predominantly involved booking elective surgeries from the theatre list, liaising with doctors, and dealing with patients. I only spent a brief amount of time here because a better job opportunity arose for me at Modbury Hospital.

City-Bay Fun Run July, 2014 - September, 2014Administration AssistantBriefly after graduating University, I acquired my first job in Administration as a casual. This only lasted 3 months though, as the organizing and lead up to the event only needed 3 months’ work. My first experience working a job not involved in retail was a good one. My job involved answering calls and assisting customers with their needs, I returned emails in response to general enquiries, and overall I just handled the behind-the-scenes duties and organizing of the event.

EldercareWork experience with a HR Business Partner June, 2014 - June, 2014Towards the end of my University experience, I managed to get a months’ worth of work experience at a company called ‘Eldercare’. The experience of working with a HR Business Partner was a real insight into what the workforce is like, and in particular, what it’s like to work in the Human Resource Department. I assisted the HR Business Partner with whatever was required, I helped out with a lot of HR/Administration work, and I did so with paying extreme attention to detail, ensuring that I learnt as much as possible. Working for Eldercare at this point in time was particularly interesting because of the government cut-backs on the health care industry. I came into the company having to oversee all the changes that were happening in regards to this, and in particular having to deal with the employees reduced rostered hours.

Video EzySales Assistant November, 2007 - May, 2014Video Ezy was my first job, I acquired this job at the young age of 14 and I worked there until I graduated University. It was the perfect part-time job while I was studying. I felt a sense of loyalty to my employer and it felt like my second home. Throughout my time there I progressed from a junior member of staff, to a senior member who trained and supervised new employees. My key responsibilities were to perform general sales duties, provide excellent customer service, handle cash at the point of sale, manage money at the end of the night, and supervise junior staff.
