Duties included reaching out to various government entities in order to determine where to find suitable data (such as city council meeting minutes, city and county budget records, etc.), reviewing said data, and determining qualifying policy outcomes. Mobile Community Assister, WV Healthy Kids & Families Coalition ˖ Morgantown, WV ˖ Nov. 2014 – Jan. 2015 Objectives were to educate West Virginia citizens regarding the Affordable Care Act, to aid individuals in understanding how the Act will affect themselves and their families, and to facilitate the enrollment process by referring individuals to In-Person Assisters. Coordinated with various groups throughout the north central region of West Virginia in order to present to interested parties’ employees, members, or clients. Additional responsibility was to engage with individuals in an effective, culturally- sensitive, respectful, and informative way.
