I am a 1996 graduate of School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and hold a 1999 post

graduate diploma in Construction Management from National Institute of Construction Management

and Research, Pune, and an Executive Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

I have over 17 years of extensive experience in Architectural planning and design of health care

buildings. Experience in project coordination and leading teams. I have handled large scale projects, including a variety of Commercial, Retail, Institutional, Healthcare, Leisure and Industrial projects.

My experience includes client interface and both Design and Project Management from the

conceptual stage through to documentation, construction, commissioning and handover stages. I have travelled and studied extensively hospitals in Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok, Vietnam and Dubai.

General Manager Projects, M/s Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospitals Pvt. Ltd.

Heading the in-house projects team of 14 engineers, dealing with planning, design, project

management and project execution. Overseeing the group construction activity across the nation.

Supervised execution and construction of 2 hospitals in Bangalore and 3 other cardiac centres in

2012-13, adding another new 500 beds to the NH group. Planning and design for 500 beds hospital in Mumbai, 300 beds hospital in Lucknow and a 200 beds hospital in Bhubaneswar. Overseeing

feasibility studies for JV projects for Greenfield and brownfield projects.

Sept 2011- April 2012

Associate Director, M/s AECOM India Pvt Ltd.

Handled business leads, presentation pitches, framing strategies for business development and

operations. Handled planning and design for a proposed 850 bed, Healthcare Park project for M/s. Chaithanya Developers in Whitefield, Bangalore. A project comprising of multiple high-rise hospital

buildings with a built-up area of about 11 Lakh Sqft.

Sept 2003- Aug 2011

Associate Director, M/s RSP Design Consultants Pvt Ltd. Started and established the Healthcare Design vertical. Headed and lead a team of healthcare

architects, as an independent profit center head. Handled projects from initial stages of medical

planning, concept design, project co-ordination, up-to execution stage. Responsible for overseeing

documentation through concept, Schematic design, detailed design development to

construction and post construction evaluation. Lead medical planner responsible for design

planning and conducting user group meeting with clients. Supervised project co-ordination with

multiple consultants, project managers, vendors and agencies. Responsible for business leads, presentation pitches, project proposals, agreements, billing and collections.

Projects handled: Twelve of ‘Columbia Asia Hospitals’ across India, a chain of 100 bedded super-specialty

Hospitals.

Jaypee Medical Centre, a 525 Bed Super-specialty tertiary care hospital at Noida, includes 14

Operation Theatres, Linear Accelerators, Nuclear Medicine dept., ICUs, NICU etc. Co-ordinated the projects with consultants and client’s advisory teams from London, Dubai and

Bangkok.

Continental Hospital, a 420 Bed Super-specialty hospital at Hyderabad, a G+13 storeyed building with four basements, includes 13 Operation theatres, 3 Linear accelerators, Nuclear

medicine, ICUs, NICU etc.

Wockhardt Hospital, a 325 beds super-specialty hospital, at Bangalore. 200 beds Military Hospital at Maliha, Sharjah. Project co-ordinated with teams in Singapore,

London and Dubai.

Two 200 bed hospitals for Apollo Group, of reach model, at Nellore and Vizag.

Cochi Medicity master planning project, a 142 acres medical campus, includes a 1000 bed teaching hospital, medical dental colleges, convention centres and residential facilities.

Kirloskar Business Park, Bangalore. Highrise commercial buildings complex.

Manyata Business Park, master planning of 100 acres of residential and commercial development project at Bangalore. Design and co-ordination of IT park buildings for built to

suit specifications.

IBM campus at Manyata Business Park. Commercial office space for about 12 lakh sqft.

Global Village project. A SEZ project on Mysore Road, Bangalore. Highrise Residential apartments for Salarpuria Group at Hosur Road, Bangalore.

Oct 2002- Sept 2003 Worked as Consultant on a one year contract as Coordinating Architect (Delhi/ Rajasthan / Haryana)

for Reliance Engineering Associates Ltd. Coordinated the Interior Design and construction activity

of the Reliance Group in the three states, relating to the Webworld projects. It involved co-ordinating works with Seven (7) Architectural and Interior Design firms for Reliance telecom Retail stores at 32

sites.

Jan 2001-Oct 2002 Worked as Architect with Projects division of M/s Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd.

Projects handled : Vanik Apollo Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh A Multistoreyed 350 beds, hospital.

Hemlata Cancer Research Hospital, Bhuvneshwar, Orissa. A super specialty Radiation Oncology, research & treatment hospital.

Oct 99-Dec2000 Worked with M/s C. P. Kukreja Associates Pvt. Ltd.

Projects handled: Goa Resort Hotel, Goa, Bharat Hotels Ltd. (A member of Intercontinental Group of

hotels) A Five Star luxury resort with about 300 rooms, villas, multicuizine restaurants, swimming

pools, banquet halls, health club, golf course, casino and other facilities. Design of Staff Housing at Raman Kant Munjal Foundation Hospital, for Hero Honda Group,

Gurgaon.

Job responsibilities: Responsible for Designing and preparation of drawings in co-ordination with

DMRC, and General Consultants. Handled sketch design stage, Final Design stage and tender stage within the stipulated time frames. Prepared the project report for Delhi Urban Arts Commission.

Nov 97-May 99

Worked as Architect with 'M/s Kapoor & Associates', on World Bank Aided: State Health Systems Dev. Projects II (Up gradation of Eighteen Hospitals in West Bengal, India). The projects included

extensive re-zoning and re-planning, extensions, modifications and renovations of 18 hospitals, at all

referral levels. Achievements: Designs approved by World Bank Consultants, Ministry of Health of West Bengal and

District health committees. Completed design stage, Tender stage and complete working Drawing

stage within eighteen months. Lead a team of six architects and was in-charge of Auto-Cad studio.
