The Audit Department wanted to validate that the new PMO was in conformance with industry best practices.Result: Determined that they were mostly implementing the proper framework but had missed some critical

fundamental structures. With recommended additions they were successful and have had no more significant and costly failed development projects.

Process: Reviewed the plan for the PMO and Project Management structures, policies and procedures. Identified steps to prevent recurrence of significant development failures. Provided senior management with a dashboard to monitor and track progress.

Ernst & Young Atlanta, GA (1/2015-5/2015)Product/Project Manager Project to develop Commercial Software. Managed a $3.2MM budgetResult: Produced the commercial version of a software product designed to provide customers with advanced

document management and drive new consulting business. The first release was received well by major Fortune 100 customers in Germany, France and the US. It was

forecasted to drive up to $5MM in new revenue per annum.Process: Managed a geographically dispersed team to develop a cloud-based product. Led the development of Mobile applications for both IOS and Android for the SharePoint 2013 application. Process: Conducted interviews and engaged with company Subject Matter Experts (Staffing Recruiters and Account

Managers) to identify processes and business flows that need improvement. Managed the $350,000 upgrade project working with Executive VP to achieve strategic goals. Developed custom KPI’s to evaluate customer and contractor value.

EV-Charge America, Inc Las Vegas, NV (11/2008 -12/2012)Product Manager/Business Consultant Worked with the CEO of this manufacturing startup to develop best practices information processing.Results: Brought in financial software that extended control over and established forecasting of cash flows reducing

risks by 50%. Designed Web and Mobile applications that would be attractive and intuitive to use by both commercial and

consumer customers.Process: Conducted market researched determining the needs of both commercial and consumer users for features and

information flows. Developed measures for commercial users to predict how many electric vehicle charging stations they would

need based on total electric vehicles sales in the region.

Bally Technologies Las Vegas, NV (4/2008-10/2008)BI Product Manager Project to develop commercial dashboarding BI tool and integrate with Compudigm BI visualization software that Bally had purchased rights to sell in the casino industry. Budget >>$10MMResults: Modified the designs of both products to ensure a consistent, integrated product. First year sales were

predicted to be in excess of $12MM including installation and maintenance.Process: Modified the product specifications to adapt to different technology used by Bally customers. Worked closely with Sales and Marketing executives to promote and demonstrate the product. Formalized Earned Value Management metrics for internal reporting of installation project metrics.

Compudigm International, Ltd. Las Vegas, NV 9/2005-4/2008Director, Product Management Led several functions in this big data Business Intelligence (BI) Visualization Software startup reporting to the CEO. Results: Made the core product more marketable by designing new features to analyze the results of new technologies being

adapted in the casino industry. We were positioned to maintain our lead in the market and later gave Bally additional marketing points when they acquired the product.

Partnered with Teradata’s Retail Specialists my Product team developed unique BI visualizations for Retail brick & mortar and eCommerce sites. We jointly researched the retail market. Gave working prototypes to several potential customers and in final negotiation for new sales of $10MM when the program was cancelled.

Ran several other management functions including contract and vendor management reducing risks caused by contract ambiguity.

Process: Managed the entire R&D program with teams developing prototypes designed specifically for specific potential Retail

customers including CVS Pharmacy, Pep Boys and others. Defined unique Key Performance Indicators for retail and eCommerce customers. Project budgets > $1MM with teams from 2 – 8 members.

Implemented Agile/Scrum methodology across all projects. The project team members were located in the US, UK, New Zealand, China and India.

Worked closely with sales teams from both Compudigm and major partner Teradata to present to potential retail customers R&D prototypes specifically designed to their needs.

Demonstrated to customers how their traditional Business Intelligence software (SAP Business Objects or Cognos) combined with our visualization software to improve their competitive position. Customers increased revenue by up to 5 percentage points (over $10M).

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories. Berkeley, CA (1999-2002)Project Manager Built a team of 12 to develop Enterprise software for the Lab to control costs The final product permitted the Lab to produce consolidated budgets, forecasts and planning models for the

first time on a consistent accounting basis. They expected to obtain more than $25MM/year in additional projects as a result.

Managed full life-cycle development of a budget system. Succeeded after the Lab had failed twice before. The final product was offered to sister laboratories for their use.

Had hiring / firing control and wrote performance reviews. Managed budget in excess of $5MM.
