Work HistoryMusic & Worship Leader, 01/2015 to PresentShaeffer’s Chapel United Methodist Church – Columbus, MSI currently serve on the staff of Shaeffer’s Chapel UMC, where I lead a congregation in praise and worship during a contemporary service as well as play the keyboard/organ in a traditional service weekly. My duties include music selection, leading rehearsals, and conducting worship services.

Campaign Assistant, 07/2015 to 11/2015Mike Hurst for Attorney General – Jackson, MSI spent the Summer as a full time employee of the Mike Hurst Campaign for Attorney General in Mississippi. Aside from accompanying the candidate on most trips and directing correspondence, I also helped with research, fund raising, scheduling, and other miscellaneous tasks. I also developed and executed our campus representative and campaign program.

I was employed as an assistant to the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Legislative Staff as a researcher, among other miscellaneous duties.

Intern/Staffer, 03/2015 to 5/2015Boyce Adams for Congress – Columbus, MSWhile a student, I served as an intern to the campaign staff of Congressional candidate Boyce Adams prior to the special election to replace U.S. Representative Alan Nunalee in Mississippi’s 1st Congressional District. Duties included clerical work, as well as calling voters and canvasing the voting district.

Intern/ Administrative Assistant, 07/2014 to Present, with breaks allotted for schoolMontgomery Community Action Agency – Montgomery, ALI spent month interning in the personnel department and business office of the Montgomery Community Action Agency, a non-profit organization which coordinates programs such as Head Start for low-income and impoverished families within the Montgomery area. Following my internship, the agency has invited me to work with them during each of my academic breaks.

In addition to my other activities, I was selected by the OHS faculty to serve as one of 12 Emissaries- the official hosts and hostesses of Opelika High School.
