EDUCATION: The University of Georgia, Athens, GA Graduated: May 12, 2007 Bachelor of Science, Geography (Geographic Information Systems) INTERNSHIPS: Eagle County Weed and Pest Department: Gypsum, CO ~ May 24 – August 4, 2006 Performed daily operations as a weed and pest technician to gather data inventory and exterminate weeds. Trimble GPS was used to locate weed areas in which data was implemented and analyzed in GIS. The Center of Remote Sensing and Mapping Sciences (CRMS): Athens, GA ~ January 7 – May 10, 2006 Position grant funded by GeorgiaView to work with team on project for The Cherokee Reservation. Identification of ground control and pass points were used for photo orthorectification in order to create an image database for EBCI. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Reynolds, Smith, and Hills (RS&H): Savannah, GA ~ October 11, 2007 Present Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency (CRTPA) CRTPA Multimodal Plan – Participating in a long term plan with a focus on multimodal transportation. Currently in beginning stages of research and data management. Structuring existing conditions and historical demographic maps. City of Statesboro, GA Statesboro Comprehensive Plan Gathered statistical data along with GIS data. Provided support with mapping the study area, demographics, future land use, and networks. Cobb County, GA Cobb County Bike and Pedestrian Study – Field study to determine existing conditions of every county road in Cobb County. Each road was evaluated and measured to help with future recommendations that may require more shoulder, bike lane, or sidewalk for bicycles and pedestrians. Liberty Consolidated Planning Commission Downtown Hinesville Circulation Study – Evaluate tthe flow of roads and traffic within the downtown area. Focus on adequate parking. Hinesville Transit Study – Conducted field study consisting of stop locations, travel times, and bus routes. Results from data gathered from the field were incorporated into the plan as writing and for map analysis. Liberty County Bike and Pedestrian Study – Effectively use data for maps and utilize factors in determining future sidewalk and bike lane development. A prioritization process of future projects was established based on existing conditions. Liberty County Comprehensive Plan – Assisted in data collection and writing for the Community Assessment. Liberty County Gateway Sector Plan – Created new data and maps for future development plan of the sector area. Low Country Council of Government Scenic Highway System Plan Conducted a field analysis of the scenic highways throughout this study area. Photographs and note taking of various landscapes were gathered for current visual phase of the state and county roads to make visual decisions for future improvements. Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission Congestion Management Process Fieldwork was conducted along various road segments in the study area with the most need for congestion management. Tasks included measuring road widths, taking accurate pictures, sketching roadways and research of study area. Southwestern Chatham County Sector Plan Responsible for organizing and creating maps through GIS. Data and transportation models for maps were incorporated into the study for reference and to further understand the goals of this project. South Carolina Department of Transportation South Carolina Truck Freight Study – Organized and compiled data into maps while calculating existing conditions for truck traffic. Wayne County, GA Wayne County Transportation Study – Established a point system to rank unpaved roads. Recommendations for these roads were addressed in tiers based on the point system. Tasks ranged from research to creating intricate shapefiles. TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE: ESRI ArcGIS Package Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007 Familiar with AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator
