Other styles and interests
Kleizmer music – interest in both traditional and original compositions and
improvisations. Leader of kleizmer band in New York, 2003-2005 and in Berlin in
2009-2010
Jewish music – organizer of annual holocaust concerts at the New England
Conservatory of Music. Among responsibilities: writing arrangements of Yiddish
songs, giving a workshop on arranging such songs, commissioning new works to
commemorate the holocaust.
Contemporary Song – tours with own songs as singer and pianist in US and
Germany, 2008-currently. Songs combine styles such as concert music, jazz, Jewish
