As per notice of examination/corrigendum, candidates were required to indicate their preference for various posts as under :- A- Engineering Assistant B -Technician 4. Following criteria was adopted for allocation of candidates:- (i) Allocation of candidates to different zones was done on the basis of merit-cum-option of zone and thereafter, to different posts within the zone. (ii) Candidates were considered for only one post, A or B as per their merit-cum-option. (iii) Candidates were considered for preferences for which they were eligible as per the verified data sent by the Regional Offices of SSC. In case of candidates who did not attend Interview, post preference exercised by the candidate in application form has been considered.

2. 1290 candidates qualified for appointment to the post of EngineeringAssistant and 339 candidates qualified for appointment to the post ofTechnician for the Combined Recruitment for the post of Engineering Assistantand Technician in Prasar Bharti Examination, 2013.

3. As per notice of examination/corrigendum, candidates were required toindicate their preference for various posts as under :-

5. 6. RESOLUTION OF TIE CASES (As per Notice of Exam)

If candidates for a particular post have the same aggregate marks in theExamination then the tie will be resolved by referring to the total marks ofPaper-II (for post code 'B')/ Interview of the examination i.e. a candidate havingmore marks in Paper-II/Interview will be given preference, wherever suchpapers are prescribed. If the tie still persists then the total marks in Paper-I(forpost code B)/Paper-II (followed by Paper-It for post code A) of the examinationwill be referred to i.e. a candidate having more marks in this Paper will be givenpreference. This procedure will be followed by Date of Birth, i.e., the candidateborn earlier will get preference. Lastly, if the tie still persists, it will be finallyresolved by referring to the alphabetical order of names, i.e., a candidate whosename begins with the alphabet which comes first in the alphabetical order willget preference.

7. The candidature of 87 candidates declared qualified for post ofEngineering Assistant and the candidature of 9 candidates declared qualifiedfor the post of Technician have been kept as Provisional by concerned regionaloffices are also included in the Select list. For the post of Technician, 195candidates whose document verification is pending have been included in theSelect List provisionally on the basis of information filled by them in theapplication f?rm.

8. The list of recommended candidates is PROVISIONAL and subject to thecandidates fulfilling all the eligibility conditions prescribed in the Notice of saidexamination and also subject to, among other things, thorough verification oftheir identity with reference to their photographs, signatures, handwritings, etc.on the application forms, admission certificates, etc. by Prasar Bharti.

9. The category status in respect of the candidates belonging to reservecategories has been indicated along with their roll numbers. It is important forsuch candidates to note that they have been declared qualified only for thecategory mentioned against their Roll Numbers. If any candidate does notactually belong to the category mentioned against his Roll Number or his rollnumber and name do not match, he may not be eligible to be included in the list.
