Reading the articles

When reading the articles please focus on the following four topics:

1) Objectives of corporate governance

2) Actors of corporate governance

3) Corporate governance codes

4) Communication of corporate governance to outside parties

In the following there are six (6) slides with several questions related to the above mentioned topics. Please answer to the questions based on the articles and other resources as well as your previous understanding and empirical findings of the topics. Please write your answers to the slides. The answers should fit in the given space. The answers should be written in English.

6) Responsibility practices

Define the concept of CSR in the target country context (your home country) and explain how it conceivably differs from the international context or from the other countries. Illustrate how CSR have developed in the service sector in generally and especially in the service sector of the target country.

What kinds of elements are related to CSR in service sector? What are the most important issues faced by the service sector in the target country. Explain how and why the importance of different elements of CSR differs between sectors and companies.Write your answer here…

For what and to whom service sector organization are responsible? What kinds of differences exist between companies, regions, and countries?

What are the main motivations, benefits and obstacles for responsible behaviour of companies in generally, in the target country and in service sector organizations? How and why do the motivations, benefits and obstacles differ between companies?


6) Responsibility regulation

How CSR is regulated in the target country and especially in the service sector? Which organizations promote CSR in service sector in the target country? What kind of regulation is needed? And who should regulate it?


7) Responsibility practices: Empirical case study 1

Give some examples of responsibility practices of service sector organisations in the target country.


8) Responsibility practices: Empirical case study 2

Give some examples of responsibility practices of service sector organisations in the target country.
